When I initially published this video, my pans were smooth as butter. I'm not sure what has happened and why they appear stuttered now. It can only be a KZbin issue. I watched it a few times after publishing and they were fine. My apologies. I would have never published it like that.

Your "Video" was the most informative that I've watched regarding the Alice Lake Toxaway Loop" that I have seen thus far. I'm planning a 3 night 4 day trip around the second week this August and your "Info" has helped me plan My Trip Beyond Imagination. Thank You & Your Your Battle Buddy! FYI: I've lived in Idaho since 2008 and this will be my first backpacking trip, let-alone a solo One, So I can't wait. I plan for a whole lot of "Photography & Nature". I'm planning for a 3 Night 4 day Trip but will Keep Friday Open for another overnighter, just in case. Again, Your Video was the most helpful & informative I've seen this far. As a "Noob", after watching Your Video, I feel I could complete the Loop without issue. Thank You, Sincerely, Michael.

"Interesting lightning" huh? I've experienced that! Well, when I was about 9 years old, I was with my mom, dad, and sister up at the family cabin. It wasn't "our" cabin, it belonged to my uncle and aunt. But lots of family used it, blah blah. Anyway, it was summertime and we went on vacation there a lot, up in the Pecos Wilderness Area, well right at the edge. It was at 8500 feet elevation. So one night really late, the thunderstorms moved over, and OMG!! The lightning was just unbelievable. It was lighting up that cabin like you wouldn't believe!! And it's not like we had never experience big time lightning before. We lived in Lubbock, TX, which is in the panhandle, in Tornado Alley. We'd seem big ass lightning before. But it's different when it's 50 feet over your head!! HAHA It was constant like you said, and SOOO bright, and the thunder was practically making the beds jump all over the floors. Me, my mom and dad were up just amazed at how intense it was. Oh yeah, my sister who was about 7 years old, slept through the whole thing! How in the world?? So what you went through in a tent was something else I'm sure!!! You didn't use the word scary once, which is surprising to me. It's another good video by the way...

Another epic trip! You always capture everything perfectly. Diane is a life saver! I’ve been there a few times myself in a panic with an expensive broken camera on trips. It’s the worst! I’m turning 40 next summer and want to make it a memorable one for sure! After watching your videos and David Grays videos it’s making me think about taking 3 weeks off of work and retracing some of y’all steps and doing multiple backpacking trips between the San Juan’s in Colorado and Glacier National Park. I’m from New England so it would be a completely different kind of backpacking experience for me 😊 I can’t wait to see your next adventure 👍

Somehow I missed this one when it first posted. That bacon jerky would have sure been good in some grits on that chilly morning ;-) ! Googled Sawtooth Wilderness backpacking and up it popped.
