Best memories of my childhood are helping my grandpa clean his big toms. He was an obsessive turkey hunter. He could make a barred owl call that was so realistic with his own voice that he would also call owls and crows. Great video, as always.

Been a bit of a stalker for a while. Just watching a video here and there. They are always great and I always learn something. I grew up with my dad camp cooking and now that he has past I have all of his cast iron. I want to do more camp cooking for my grandkids. This video got me to subscribe and trust me I am going to follow you and pass on what I was taught with your help. Thanks again, I hope my dads cast iron will be used for many generations.

Looks really good, pot pies are one of my favorite comfort foods. Would love to try the wild turkey. Just as a quick tip, for that long of a video the music on in the background becomes a little bit much. Maybe lowering the volume of it a little bit or not playing it continuously might be a good option. Please keep up the great videos and I love watching cooking with wild game.
@BackwoodsGourmetChannel3 жыл бұрын
If your volume is too high, it is your device running music emphasis, not the video. Every successful channel is using music throughout their videos. Check your device settings because our music is always set to 18% of the main track. Music apps will change these setting automatically. Thanks for watching.

Wonder how a shot of Wild Turkey added to the mix would be? A sniffer on the side would make this fit for a king! Marcus from Chesapeake VA.

Get a 10 inch Camp Dutch Oven. I suggest Lodge, but get what you can afford and get started.

I guess this probably caused plenty of crying. Now days I wonder how many people think that all meat comes in nice cellophane and shrink wrap packaging. As for me I missed this one and am glad I found it. America is short of real everyday people now days.
