Both White and Holiday are near or at the top of the NBA when it comes to 1-on-1 defense at the perimeter. During practice, these are the two guys that Tatum and Brown have to try and get by. When they lined up against the Mavs, the Mavs defending the perimeter were mediocre defender Kyrie and traffic cone defender Luka. Luka is one of the most creative scorers in NBA history and he did his part on offense, but he was a big minus on defense. No wonder Tatum and Brown were smiling evilly every time they saw Luka trying, and failing, to guard them. Also, the Celtics coached rings around the Mavs. When Tatum or Brown drove past Luka and attacked the basket, more often than not the Celtics had tricked the Mavs into switching so that rim protectors Lively and Gafford were somehow trying to guard Derrick White at the 3 point line. The rim protector was often Kyrie, who could only look up helplessly as Tarum or Brown dunked over him. It was such an easy series for the Celtics. The Mavs ere out-manned, and out-coached.

If Sam Hauser understands the significance of his role in this God-Tier Celtics team then he's taking a pay cut to have an opportunity to play. All is understood if that doesn't end being the case, e.g. chasing the bag / securing complete financial stability, but with almost breaking the NBA 3 pointer record within 3 quarters this man would be like a shotgun for Celtics offense.

Springer is on a guaranteed regular contract at about 4 years now of nba experience...normally aren't sent down to the g league and he wasn't there last year. Already have JD, Peterson, Baylor, Watson, and I think Tristan Eranurana, Ron Harper Jr on exhibit 10. So all of those will be in Maine...Springer wont.
