BAD BOY ZT Elite Zero Turn Lawn Mower - First Impressions!

Today I get to test out my new Bad Boy ZT Elite Zero Turn Mower for you guys and some of my first thoughts on if this mower truly cuts it!

You did great! Especially for your first time on a ZTR. I used to be afraid to take hills sideways too. It's actually the best way to mow hills (unless they're just so steep that the mower slides down sideways) then it's take it from the top going down , etc. Yep, I used to do it for a living. My next mower will definitely be a BadBoy Mower. Although I'll be going commercial, because I mow about 10 acres a week. Keep up the videos.

I love my Bad Boy Elite. I had to go with 48 inch. So many trees and I still can fit between some. Beautiful property.

I’m going to try to get a BB MZ Magnum 54” next month.(August 2023) The only thing I don’t like about my choice is the unserviceable transmission. I may get the least expensive model with the serviceable transmission. It’s about a $500 difference at least. But I definitely want a Bad Boy mower whatever model I choose. I’m finding practically nothing but praise of the build quality and strength of the brand on the videos I’ve watched for research.

I still love mine. I agree with you. From everything I have heard having the serviceable transmission is very important. With these zero turns the transmissions get a lot of use and abuse. I think that would be smart to consider. Best of luck!

The ZT elite bad boy is the top residential lawnmower to have the commercial grade 10 cc 31 series serviceable transmission each transmission axel has its own filter and you can change the fluid and change the filter after so many hours I have the ZT Elite bad boy lawnmower but I’m not real happy with the Kawasaki FR 730 V 24hp motor it uses about 3 to 4 ounces of oil after using it about three hours, and after two years of mowing, I have 192.7 hours on it the dealer that I purchased the more from said to use the 50 weight Kawasaki oil winning the manual says used 30 weight oil and the Kawasaki engine is a $500 upgrade from the Kohler and the Briggs & Stratton engine not happy with it at all but the frame and the deck is well-made

I like my bad boy elite so far very good mower, you are the man mowing without safety glasses, hearing protection, My mower is very loud, power blades so a lot of dust and grass flying, Some may not like the name, but for my hard earned money the bad boy elite with 54” deck was my best valve, I paid up a +400 for the Kawasaki engine, also purchased the rear hitch, support mount handle and adjustable handle bars, So far so good, Those that do not like the name should have heard what I wanted to call the old John Deere I had before that was broke down a lot!

I bought a new bad boy ZT elite in January 2022 I’m not real pleased with it the C Kawasaki 24 hp engine was a $500 upgrade from all the others and it’s using some oil and the frame and mowing deck is well-made I like that part but it doesn’t go 7 miles an hour my son Has a spartan lawnmower it was 4,800 dollars and compared to my $6,000 dollar Bad Boy lawnmower not real pleased, the armrest doesn’t fit me it’s too small I think they are overpriced mine was 6,000 dollars but they do have a well built mowing deck but they have no grease fittings for the money they should.

I Bought a Zt Elite Limited edition 60" my friend ther e the best 0turn i saifms well friend dosnt think the LXMark was as good as Bad Boy them an Ferris are kneck and kneck but FROM Alabama to Your going l the Xmak but a BaD Boy is what sells in th a USA!

I have my mz magnum 54" kohler for 4 years now, and I just do the regular tune-up, I have mowed some 8' tall johnson grass with my brother's mz 48" kohler and it didn't get bog down at all and after using his that's when I bought my mz magnum, I thought about upgrading but I'm not for sure what I would want, you see I can also use it on my 20 acres which I have done with my brother's before I bought mine, and I use both my tractor and bush hog and my bad boy and believe me I like them both to mow with

I know I’m going to get called a fan boy or whatever but did you really compare this to a turf tiger …. I never ran a turf tiger2… but I have a “first gen” turf tiger (2015)… and why I chose what I chose was because it’s not a transaxle machine and It’s a horizontal shaft engine so I don’t have any belts underneath I have a driveshaft like a truck… but either way I hope your happy and satisfied with your purchase.. and are those deck spindles greaseable/serviceable?

No, the blade mandrels in front wheel spindles on the bad boy ZT Elite doesn’t have grease fittings and for $6000. I feel like they should have grease fittings The blade mandrels are very expensive for a bad boy and for $6000 I just believe they should have grease fittings on the blade mandrels and front wheel spindles.

I have the Kawasaki engine on my ZT elite I bought it in January 2022 on it’s second year of mowing and it’s using oil after about 3 hours of mowing I have to add about 4 to 5 ounces of oil I’m not happy with it. And the Kawasaki engine is $500 more than the Kohler engine.

Those are not commercial hydroes I have a commercial outlaw 40hp it has parker drive like on a skid steer but you did choose a tough mower
