My son passed away at age 11.. this song always reminds me of him. How blessed was he to be saved from the wickedness of this world. Yet he lived long enough to achieve so much as an actor and model. He was just learning to play guitar. Thank you Bad Company for helping me to fight my own demons through great music. There will never be anything like the music of the 50’s - the 90’s. Especially the 70’s..just my opinion of course

Great song and lyrics. I have always thought the strength and grace of a seagull is never discussed in any wildlife forum. They are the powerful sleepers that see everything and give you nothing. What a mystery. Thus song relates to life.

I've been a Bad Co fan since the 70's. Funny that I don't remember this song. Paul Rodgers is a unique talent in music. Instantly recognizable and timeless. This is when music was MUSIC, kids. No autotune, musicians playing their own instruments, and singers that didn't need embellishments.

This is a beautiful song from my childhood, it helped me understand life and the way things turn out in life sometimes. It gave me perspective and a solid ground to understand how life and years work. I was blessed to be born back then and the beautiful music that was produced in our era. Today it's very rare and far between. I can still tell a true artist when I hear one, and I have a few good friends that are amazing at what they sing ❤️! God Bless them.
