@@martingonsalez6635 I have a 98 Corolla with the same exact issue! Except mine will shut off before I put it into gear if it sits for too long. My car has stalled multiple times when driving. It starts up just fine and will continue like it didn’t just die. Before changing the fuel pump, I just found out that it could be the fuel pump relay! Did you have any luck changing the fuel pump?

It didn't hurt to replace it but it didn't solve the problem that has now become very bad and within miles of quitting. '92 Toyota 4x4 P/U bought it brand new almost 30 years ago and have never had to replace the fuel pump. Ol girl hit 4 out of your five. I have experienced all of these symptoms. I pretty much came to the same conclusion, but it's nice to have that verified. I did change the fuel filter thinking maybe that could be the culprit, but it still cranks longer than it used to. I will be changing the fuel pump in the next few days, I just have to borrow a floor jack and some jack stands from my brother in law. Thanks for the info. One thing to add, If you turn the ignition on and off a couple of times before you start itthat will help build up pressure in the fuel line so it doesn't crank as much.

Depends of your car, just go on website like www.repairpal.com and type in your car make, model, and year and the type of service you need like Fuel Pump Replacement and it gives a good quote range of about what type of price you're looking at... good luck

450-$100 online for the pump, jack and 2 stands, some tools and a buddy to help lower and lift the gas tank. Otherwise, going to be pricey.

Thank you Robert for your very good advices and unlike some others here you talk to the point and don't bore with those BS here which is really useless. You are a great teacher I believe and I wish you more and sure success in your life. Amen. My Nissan Quest 2005 S is giving almost the similar problems these days that it will die while running or won't start but sometimes it will start by pushing the gas pedal hard. I took to a mechanic and in front of him it started so he said there is no problem but when I brought back home, it started giving the same problem. Last year after searching on you tube, I got its Cam Shaft and Crank shaft (all 3) got replaced and the problem was solved (It was dying in the middle of road while driving and after a little wait it will start back on but now its different. I think as you said after certain numbers of miles, fuel pump becomes weak and need replacement. Easy job but I have bad arthritis and heart issues so I can't work by myself (standing siting job I can do with difficulties but otherwise our Lord send me or take me to some kind and helping hands (people) who either don't charge me or charge very little because I am working but wages are very low. But this vehicle is a very must necessity here in our state of NE. You are paralyzed without your own vehicle here. So now I will buy a new fuel pump from car parts dot com because I bought and used one in my GMC Jimmy 2001 some years ago and its still working very good (God Bless my neighbor Mexican who replaced it) Moved now to another state and I miss them very much. Thanks Again brother Robert. God Bless you. I have subscribed all your videos on your tube. Have a safe Memorial Day.

Would a faulty fuel pump effect the alternator, starter, battery and spark plugs of a vehicle? I have a 2009 Toyota Camry that stalled as I tried to get on the freeway.

No but if the car runs out of gas, none of those other things work.

Couldn't start my 1998 BMW Z3 1.9 L today 99,000 miles , later it would start , but when driving suddenly the rpm dropped off zero for a split second before recovering. Suspected fuel line clog. Your video I think is spot on. Thanks for explaining so concisely.

@@markkeeton9357 Pull the back seat. Wrap a string around studs that bolt the seat down. Measure over 6 inches toward passenger side from the string. Make the cuts. Works like a dream. KZbin has a few good videos on it. Hope this is helpful. Have a great day. REMEMBER: Surface cuts only so you don't cut into your frame. Will save 1000. by doing it yourself.

Hey, i fixed 9 out of 10 things but i'm still experiencing the problem do you think it could be problem 10 aka fuel pump. Cmon use your brain. GOOGLE. *Common sense isn't so common nowadays. It should be considered a super power.*
