If a stylist says something is not achievable, go to another stylist that can achieve what you want. In the nail salons too... if they hesitate, run. In this case the stylist should’ve said no and stood on it. The plaintiff went and got a whole different hairstyle from another stylist. That didn’t help her case. She should’ve been able to prove it could be done if it could. A quick weave would’ve been best. There’s no weave that’s going to look shaved or faded. The closest is tapered.

Former hairdresser here. What she wanted wasn't a tapered or an "extended bob", which doesn't actually exist. What she took for a taper was actually an undercut, no tapering or fade. And it's also not a bob haircut, what those are is effectively an inverted hairstyle that requires movement of the hair in order to style and I don't care how good of a stylist she is, the top would not have been thick enough to cover the sew in. Consultation Consultation Consultation... First of all,I’ve learned that clients have a Totally different definition of what’s possible within their timeframe...Secondly,Pictures are a great way to break through the confusion of misinterpretation... Lastly,and Most Assuredly,Important...Explaining to them,the difference between the picture and their hair, and that you can give them,THEIR HAIRS VERSION OF THAT LOOK...because, they don’t have the same hair...If after all that,as a stylist,if you feel like they aren’t understanding what you’ve said... You have earned the right to say No,and wish them well...✨😘

From what I’m hearing in the testimony, this woman wanted a quick weave style on a sew-in weave. That’s the whole problem right there. If you’re attaching the wefts to a braided base without some type of net, you’re extremely limited in styling. Plus, a short cut like that would be really bumpy and bulky with braids underneath. With a quick weave, you can wrap and mold the hair down flat. Then you’re free to glue the wefts in any direction needed to achieve the style. I’m willing to bet that the client was advised that the quickweave would be the better option, but she probably insisted on a sew-in for whatever reason.

I totally agree. She wanted what she wanted. And probably wouldn’t listen. Cause the stylist looks like she has a quick weave in.

My Mom’s side is black and I knew just from the intro the plaintiff lost. A weave cannot be tapered for a high cut bob. Unless you want to bring in lace caps and/or glue with hair bundles that style is unachievable. The defendant was honest and even stated the style was not possible with a weave. She’s an honest bright spirit.
I'm a cosmetologist and I object. All she has to do was sew the hair in a weft inside is the braids and razor cut it. Look at the hairdresser own hair it to heavy at the top. $380 for that sew 🤣🤣🤣

She simply should've went to the previous beautician that did it how she wanted. The style isn't impossible to achieve, the stylist just couldn't do it. The plaintiff should've just went to the other stylist

It doesn'[t matter whether it is or isn't achievable. if your specific stylist is telling you THEY CAN'T do it but will try, then the client should know theyre taking a risk. yes, the stylist could turn it down but they gave their warning. ultimately the client decides whether they want to spend the money. i side with the defendant

@allthingsdebrena75543 жыл бұрын
I used to work at a haircut salon checking in and out customers, I can’t tell you how many times I witnessed clients come in with a picture or multiple pictures and stylist explain “it won’t look exactly like this” or “they achieved that style with spray” etc, the point is weave or not, the stylist and the customer are wrong, they should have came to an agreement together for a different style. Customer should have listened to stylist, or stylist should have refused to do it letting her know she can’t do that style.

it seems to me like the defendant did everything right. She told the lady straight up that she could not do all of those hairstyles on her hair and recreate that particular style that she wanted. She tried to do it anyways, because the lady was a good customer (AND the lady gave her a VERY generous tip) and then she even offered to do another style completely free of charge because she didn't like the style either. And IF this style was so easy to achieve, why didn't the plaintiff have it done with one of THOSE stylists and bring her the proof. I think the judge's verdict was fair in this case.

@marshabrown926313 күн бұрын
This style is definitely achievable with weave the defendant just doesn’t know how to do it. She just needed to use a 27 or 28 piece hair for the back and sides because that hair is thinner and 12 inches for the top and put the closure a little to the side of the head making sure the tracks are not showing and then do some layering , but if she said she didn’t know how to do it walk away.
@keturahmckinney95033 жыл бұрын

This look is EXTREMELY achievable w/ weave, quick weave, or a wig. I've had them ALL so it's possible. The Stylist was not gifted in that area & the Client cannot force an ungifted to do what a gifted can do. Have multiple Stylist for multiple styles 🤷🏾♀️

Its definetly true some hair styles are not acheivable with extensions or weave and if the beautician made it clear she was not able to do it, the plaintiff should have went somewhere else to find somone that can do it. I do know that feeling when you want a certain hairstyle and your beautician sais she cannot do it. It is dissapointing but it happens.
