Originally posted in August 2011, this is a re-edited version that runs 2m 7s shorter than the original, and has been upscaled to HD and had noise reduction applied to reduce tape and camera noise. As usual, there have been cuts to reduce the film clips, but also to remove a joke I didn't think worked. This is the following episode to Half Past Dead, naturally, and I got the two films in a boxset together (which is the only way to get this movie in the UK). This re-post isn't really linked with anything, other than if I put up the first one, I should probably do the sequel as well. The unofficial KZbin post had a comment from one of the extras who worked on the film, who said it was a very low budget affair (apparently the catering was peanut butter sandwiches) and can even be seen during the review. You know Matthew, This film perfectly demonstrates why i dislike the concept of straight to video sequels. We all know that not all, but some sequels are bad, but with straight video sequels, they're a whole another level of awfulness. Not to mention that they make you ask what's the point of this existing?! They don't have the original actors in it, they don't have the original director in it , they're budgets are less than their predecessor, everything to the acting, writing and directing feels like a downgrade. So really, why bother with straight-to-video sequels?

Prisoner gang leaders regularly carry guns. They don't use them to escape, but keep them on the off-chance another prisoner tries to shoot them, with their gun they're not using to escape with.

In my darkest moments I dream that there may someday be a Half Past Dead 3 where Seagal and Ja Rule returns to fight Goldberg and Twitch for the rest of the gold and at long last settle the score so Ja Rule can say that everything is gonna be 'A'ight!'

I'd imagine something more realistic would be the four of them teaming up after the latter three had been hired by the FBI to help Seagal make sure a public execution goes through. Due to said person being a ringleader who set up the destruction of New Alcatraz and the prison from Half Past Dead 2. And the reason Twitch agrees is because he wound wasting what money he had left on gambling and eloping with his girlfriend (Whom they know is being held hostage by the terrorists who are going to try & free their boss)

If this was the prison from Beyond Re-Animator, Jeffrey Combs would have made this film a thousand times better by running around knocking people out with microscopes and re agenting the dead prisoners.

Rocket launchers don't throw you back all that much, and certainly not several feet through what I'd assume is reinforced plexiglass. The hole at the back eliminates most of the recoil. The real problem is if anyone is behind the barrel or if you're in a tight space when you fire.
