I smile to myself when Perez was asked about what he wanted to do for this season.. Errrr I want to win the championship, Danny Ric has more chance of winning that !! Trouble is Perez is trying too hard & when that happens he makes stupid mistakes.. I’m guessing it’s not about his driving abilities but more to keep Max happy & on top of that the power struggle that’s going on. I am surprised that the deal was for so long, but then there maybe a performance clause in there somewhere as I believe Perez had to accept it on RBR terms..

He stays because he enables Verstappen to win. He drove a damaged car back to pits knowing full well he would be penalized... but they avoided a safety car and secured Max's win. That is the key reason why he will stay.

I get that Daniel hasn’t had the best start at RB, but my gut is telling me the Red Bull car suits his driving style better and that he could do better than Perez. Surprised they didn’t give Daniel the drive on a 1 year contract.

I had expected him to be replaced with another driver, so I was very surprised ( not in a good way) when the news came out he got a 2 year contract. After this race I'm even more bummed out he got a new contract. Looks like the constructors title will definatly not go to Red Bull this season. Unless ofcourse Perez steps up his game. But even if he does step up; I'd prefer a driver in that second seat thats actually able to keep up and even challenge Max. Because that would motivate Max to become even a better driver then he already is.

Funny how everyone was begging for Perez to stay in F1 a few years back and all wanted him in the RB car and now just because of a few bad showings you’re all gunning for him to be booted out. Ricciardo isn’t that great either, don’t forget he also had the RB car and failed otherwise he’d still be driving it!

someone tell me when has Perez ever won a race on his pure pace, where he has been the fastest all weekend long ,never .All his wins were because of luck and some decent pace .for eg his first win happened because George had a puncture ,second when max and lewis had retired at the end of the race ,Monaco because he rigged the quali,last year at jeddah because max was unlucky with the safety car .He's never won on pace and if hasn't gotten better it will never get better

Pères has had last 2yrs to prove wat he made of.sainz would be good choice. But if I was helmet &horner I'd put lawman in deep end.he showed his worth in a car struggle to score points.liam is a strong talent in my opinion he could be up there with lando or max even.at least he should av Danny rich seat he only there due to money he brings😮

Perez is nowhere near backing up his partner now that Max needs it most of all. He should be in the position to win races on behalf of the team when Max experience DNF's, or at least take points away from the opposition, by taking P2 to Max. I actual fact, he seems to be a midfield runner at most. Even Daniel Ricciardo did much better than Perez while he still partnered Max. Do not forget, that the only F1 racing driver who could ever forced Max Verstappen into errors during races, were nobody else than Daniel Ricciardo.

I was surprised to see red bull extending his contract. I really thought they would sack him after a sucky performance in the middle of 2023 and a terrible performance in Imola in Monaco. What they are doing with checo is no the usual red bull way for drivers

I was shocked they gave him another contract. His performance has been poor for a while in what still is the best car on the grid. And last year the car was untouchable but he messed up here and there. With young talent on there books why did RB resign him at all?

he messed up alot of quali's last year, but at least he made up for it during the races, because the car was extremely dominant. Now that several teams are catching up to red Bull, he doesn't even manage to make up for his mistakes during the race. I was shocked too to hear the news about his new contract.
