I ride a 125 motorbike & I am forever having trouble. On roundabouts I have cars getting way too close, if I'm on the road with parked cars, it doesn't matter what side they are on, I will acknowledge the other driver if he pauses to let me through, covering my bases & I will signal when I pull out to pass a parked car or stopped bus. I always get slightly nervous about cars coming from roads on my left. I will admit to driving 80% of the time at night with a high beam just so cars can see me. I have driven on normal lights at night & had the occasional heartstopper. I do also ride nearer the middle of the inside lane on a dual carriageway because of the number of cars that don't use all of the outside lanes to overtake me. Another grumble is cars not acknowledging when I've slowed to let them pass on single carriageways or country roads. I'll slow & signal left 5 or 6 times so they know it is safe to pass me. One day I'll get my own camera & do a channel of how bad it is for bike riders!!! The road by the pond where you turned right is in Walton on the Hill, I used to work at The Chequers!!!!

I'm sorry to say that, with no MOT (I'll come to that in a mo, I was allowed to drive the journey), on a roundabout today (one of the most disorganised roundabouts I know with regards to traffic signals), I realised as I was going through it that I was running a red light. In my defence, this is a red light that is there immediately from my entering junction, that has no traffic lights. My drive was legal was because it was to have the car repaired for MOT. Now, sadly, it's stuck on the drive at home until Tuesday when I take it for a pre-booked test. But even I, so conscious of red light runners (I have even sent DashCam footage to the police - and they have taken action) found myself too late to stop before I realised I had done the same. Doh! EDIT: In case anyone is interested in why I think this is a poorly managed roundabout - it's the Coldra roundabout in Newport, S Wales, that has traffic lights on some junctions, but only on some. It's madness if you don't use it regularly. I'll probably be on a dashcam channel at some point, soon, for it. EDIT2: I love my convertible - but I miss rear windscreen wipers (and having to disable my rear demister, on account of it has a tendency to crack rear windows in rag top convertibles) :(

Honestly poor lane discipline really gets me mad. Coming off roundabouts especially if both lanes can go straight over and I'm in the left and the car in the right thinks they cut across left into me, God forbid they stay right and follow the lane! I had it today but on 2 wheels as I took my moped to work. It is painted on the floor in 10ft letters what lane to be in, I had a dacia fake 4x4 flick it's indicator on mid roundabout and try to push me out then a car 2 ahead of it ended up actually just pulling across so I had to swerve around them and they flashed me!! I feel your pain 😅

Probably maybe two or three years ago you could drive through the hospital from both directions they made it one way to stop people I'm guessing cutting through the hospital it was being used as short cut, it hasn't worked very well for the hospital because there is so much traffic trying to get into the hospital the traffic goes back into Epsom high Street now.

Loads of learners near where a live as there is a test centre near by and I assume the instructors bring the learners here so the learners know the routes. I was walking to the supermarket along side a dual carriageway and behind me was a cross roads with traffic lights. An ambulance with lights flashing and the siren blaring was heading towards me and I watched how it was going to get through the lights behind me which were at red. Two lanes entering the junction. The car in the left lane stopped before entering the junction. Learner in the right hand lane didn't stop then thought better of it and stopped, right in front of the ambulance trying to get through. So now the learner who is turning right has to continue across just so the ambulance can get though. I don't know whether the learner was on a lesson or a test. Failed if on their test. If a lesson was the instructor asleep? Now I am pretty forgiving of learners as we were all there once. But I am pretty appalled at the standard of some instruction of the learners around where I live.

The learner decided, God knows why, to stop right in front of the ambulance. Not stop short like the car on on his LHS or continue through on the green light. No stop right in front of the ambulance blocking its path. Correct it is an offence for an ambulance to go through on a red but let's hope nobody died as a result.

You have to make allowances for our lady drivers. They have never know how wide their car is or which lever makes the car go backwards or how to read road signs and map reading is a mystery I found out way back in school when practising for the GCE. Okay you might have one or two who have mastered the basics but most would have no difficulty with knitting or the art or crochet or tatting but that doesn't allow them to pick up the kids from school.

I had a monster trike driving towards me in the village we now live in and clearly the rider did not want to go over the speed bump we were approaching and moved over to our side of the road to be able to pass between them. You mentioned traffic lights on islands, it's over controlling traffic and that causes tailback bunch ups and frustrates drivers, after all islands are a form of traffic control, and so are traffic lights so it doesn't make sense to have both together just causing traffic havoc, as for the "Island cutting cretin" at the start of the video, it's so common these days I'd say at least 90% of drivers do it, I even had one idiot did beep me for doing it correctly while he cut the island, he expected me to either cut the island like him of turn left instead of taking the second exit.

It can also be an instructor doing a mock test. The emerge wasn't really that bad. They went onto the roundabout before you did as seeing the car going in front of you it was obviously decided there was enough time and space to go, which they did go and there was time and space. Remember, roundabouts aren't race tracks where you should be accelerating as hard as you can to get around as quick as you can

@@kramshiron From what you are saying LDC didn’t give way to the right in the first roundabout clip as there was still a car travelling around the roundabout on the opposite side. He even done it blatantly a few videos ago where he would have blocked the car coming from the right while he waited for a car to do a bad u turn, and even stopped before emerging in front of the other vehicle When the learner committed to going LDC was still giving way to the other car. LDC says it himself, roundabouts are for aiding flow. If someone is giving way to someone coming round then there is nothing wrong with emerging.

Just a note, the highway code also says when overtaking a parked vehicle it is advised to allow enough space for a door to open. Trouble is it says nothing about when two vehicles are almost opposite each other and you have to squeeze past an oncoming vehicle.

in the preamble to the general rules (102-158) it says " This section should be read by all drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists and horse riders. The rules in The Highway Code do not give you the right of way in any circumstance, but they advise you when you should give way to others. Always give way if it can help to avoid an incident." In that instant at 3:20, it should have been clear to LDC that they both could not pass through and gives a car door's width to each side so LDC should have yielded as advised by the Highway Code. In fact he even admits to his driving error by saying he had to drive very close to the parked car to his left. That was quite appalling driving by LDC and quite irresponsible to blame his error on someone else.

You seem to be having some problems with Nissans recently, particularly the Joke and the Kumquat or whatever its called. Both have featured several times in the twatty driver club in your videos and its something I notice up here in Suffolk too. Another major red flag car round here is the Vauxhall Mokka (or it might be Fukka). Beware of them as they always seem to be in brain off mode. There must be something in the sales blurb that attracts these loons and they must be ideal training for the aspiring Merc/BMW/Audi diver.

That roundabout lane divider is not clear and needs repainting - any driver not a local would be hesitant at such a worn out lane divider. Epsom no entry - you cannot actually see the no entry signs from the direction that car is coming from. Also, the signs are quite high, so if the driver is looking at oncoming traffic to make the turn, it is likely he did not see the no entry signs at all. I know this from experience as, in my town, they suddenly changed a road to a 20 limit. I turn right into this road and my eyes were always on the oncoming traffic to be able to turn safely into the road and the signs are at a height right at the junction - it was 6-months before I realised it was changed to a 20 and only then because of a 20 sign they painted on the road later further up the road. Actually, I am finding lots of new 20 speed limits and not enough signs.
