When in REALITY, Sony barely lost anything on Concord. It was started in 2016 and worked on, until 2022....FireWalk was actively looking for a publisher when they finished the game in 2022. Sony didn't acquire FireWalk until mid to late 2023. At best they may have paid for some polishing which doesn't cost 400 million and they featured it at literally ONE State of Play. They didn't market it much. Hell in no universe did Concord cost ANYONE 400 million, an independent studio wouldn't have 400 million sitting around to make their first major title and still have to shop it around to publishers.....Yet people still parrot LMFAO what the internet says.

Decided to give it another go last time it went on one of the super sales, it is drastically improved from launch, im honestly having more fun with it than any installment since BF1, some maps leave a bit to be desired but other are reaaally fun, feel like balance is decent, definitely things can continue to be improved but overall its solid as hell now imo. Very rare to see EA release yet another broken mess and actually put in effort to fix it. If you see it on a big sale id definitely try it if you enjoy the franchise (Not that it excuses aaa devs releasing unfinished messes in the first place but it is good to see for once)

Halo Infinite is actually pretty good nowadays, the campaign is actually super fun if you grab it on sale. It was a LOT worse at launch, and I am fully willing to admit that. Which is why I waited a year to pick it up for half-off. Also I do agree with the other people who point out that battle pass sales and Game Pass subs played a major part in why it's not considered an abject failure. Whales most certainly tip the scale. Also I don't think immediate player drop-off is a good indicator of a game's health, since most games have unsustainably huge playerbases and even games with small playerbases can still be very successful.

Making the game free to play was an awful decision they should've charged full price for the game so they didn't have to make the shop so damn predatory and in your face more than half of the armor in the game feels like it is locked to the shop and expensive as fuck and it ends up ruining the games customization. The updates 343 / Halo Studios releases these days are so minor and tiny it seems like they have lost like all of their funding, like when everyone got excited for that new SMG that ended up just being an asset flip of the Assault Rifle with reused animations, the first real weapon they have added since the Bandit and its a low effort addition.

Halo as a brand will probably never be profitable again. Microsoft had one opportunity to prove Halo was safe in the post-Bungie Era in 2012, and Halo 4 was good enough to convince about 60% of fans. That gave them another opportunity in Halo 5; an opportunity they squandered to comical degree. After Halo 5, the Halo fans didn't care about Halo. After waiting over 5 years for a new main line Halo game with almost no marketing, there's no one left to care. The Halo fans won't buy it because they've been burned too much, and the general gaming public sees Halo as an outdated classic at best, or more likely another generic FPS. Because that's what they did to Halo, they made it generic.

I think it’s a shame with dead space. Dead space 2 was a great game. I too prefer the first one but I think the second one was a really solid 9/10 for me. Third one completely killed it but I hope we get a remake of 2 or even better a fourth entry that brings it back to its roots in survival horror.

Between Halo Infinite, BF2042, and cod Vanguard. I tbought there would be one good game.. I was wrong 😢 I spent 110$ on 2042. "Dont be sad, this is how it works out somtimes" 😑
@fohrum475722 күн бұрын
Ouch. And now 2042 is far better than it was when you paid $110, and free too. You just gotta stop purchasing games so quickly. Have some patience young Padawan. Wait to see if they're actually good. You remind me of my younger brother lol. Except he's worse and buys the game before it's even completed 😂

@@fohrum4757 Agree. I'll wait 2 or 3 years sometimes before I buy a game (at a massive discount). That's usually when the updates are done and the developer has fully moved on to the next game. Heck, I haven't even played through Cyberpunk 2077 yet. I haven't made it past the first hour because every time I start thinking of giving it a go, CDPR throws out another update, like they did again recently. Personally, I want to play the finished game, and that game came out in December 2020, four years ago, and CDPR still isn't finished with it. I'll play it when they're done with it. lol

Not really. I haven't seen For Honor on steam and it is playable to this day. What they needed is just to support the game. For instance I had time and interest on 20th of December 2024. Ubisoft announced shut down on 18 December of 2024, only around 6 months after its release which is extremely short for a multiplayer project in the declining market/branche.

Do game sales take into consideration getting the game for free or no? Because I got the dead space remake when it was game of the month on PlayStation so did playstation still technically pay to give it out for free or did they just take loses on that?

I’m so bummed about Payday 3 being such a flop. Tons of the gameplay changes were unnecessary, specifically how the build system works. They went from an RPG style system with class trees and perk decks to what felt like a CoD create a class, taking out the challenge and making builds unique to the player. Then the XP system was god awful, you could only gain XP by completing challenges, no normal XP at the end of the game like you’d expect from literally every game ever, you’d have to complete challenges that didn’t auto refresh. You’d get the easy ones fast, hit so many headshots, kill so many enemies with grenades, run this many feet, the easy ones. Then you’d run out and you’d have to do the most random difficult bullshit like take out a bulldozer with a headshot using a pistol on the hardest difficulty. Plus being always online and if you wanted to play single player you’d have to jump through hoops to get a solo game that you can get kicked off of if the servers overload, and trust me, at launch barely anybody could even play the fucking game. We’ve been asking for these basic things to be fixed, and last I played, we got a paid DLC heist and a remake of a classic grinding heist with none of these issues even being addressed. It’s so sad because Payday 2 rivals Left 4 Dead 2 as my personal favorite co-op objective shooter.

I was excited to show my wife payday because I had played 2 and loved it . She was just getting into gaming and wanted a game for both of us to play . We were able to get into 1 …. I repeat 1 game on launch weekend . It was pathetic. All together I played 3 entire matches after having to constantly look for a lobby and never being able to find one. Basically killed all excitement and I haven’t touched the game since .
