I love this cover. Bad Wolves did a great job of portraying the emotion in this song and it was a great tribute to the original and to Delores. Loved this one 💜💜

Thanks so much for your reaction! Such an epic song and Delores had posted on her Facebook page that she was so excited that she would be recording this with them- so sad she died on the day she would record it with them. Tommy Vex really brought out the emotion in this- anger about violence still going on in 2018 combined with the grief from losing Deloris and the visuals were stunning.

Honestly the acoustic version was the most beautiful version of zombie I have ever listened to. Her voice was on a different level in that version. And the message hit harder than any other version I have listened to. Always love when people try to do a cover. Even more so when they can bring that same message to people that the original had.

The Cranberries front woman Dolores O'Riordan died by drowning due to alcohol intoxication. Another example and this may sound strange but people who use too much drugs can drink too much water because they feel hot and as a result have water intoxication. That is somewhat the same. Taking too much of alcohol or water is never good. I know someone who had water intoxication who had to be brought to hospital by ambulance. The song Zombie she wrote because of 2 very young boys who were shot in the war in Northern Ireland.

I love how insightful and thoughtful this reaction was. I love seeing other folks so different from myself reacting to the things I love, but often it's a very simple, shallow reaction to very surface-level things like the sound of the accompaniment or the visuals of a music video alone. It touches my heart to hear people expressing how the message of the music hits them. I may not share the same life experiences, tastes in entertainment, or faith as you, but at this moment it's awesome that we can feel the same and connect over a piece of music. Miliy Cyrus also covered the song. it's on Spotify, but I don't know if there is a video of her doing it. I like the symbolism of Deloris being beyond a barrier. He can't come back soon enough.
