I will be 72 next month. I thought I needed a new hobby during pandemic so I bought watercolor supplies with my stimulus money including a 300 dollar printer. I uploaded everything for this printer and got it running myself. I use the printer to print reference photos to paint. I make my own watercolor paint books to take to paint outside. The newest is 5.5 x 8 inches with all professional watercolor paper in it. I got a new tablet with the s pen. I'm still working on using that contraption. I know I'm not out skateboarding or swimming with sharks but I taught myself something new and I'm having a blast doing it

A few weeks ago I starting thinking about what I should do with my life, I turn 15 very soon, and I developed a fear of becomingold even thought I’m much too young to be thinking about it. I dropped into a depressed state and felt horrible, I’d didn’t know what to do. I saw this video on KZbin’s recommendations, and watched it. This showed me that growing old isn’t bad, or is anything to be afraid of, and I felt much better about it, thank you all for making this, and continue to make everyone’s day!

Elderly? Who ya calling "elderly"? The thing younger people don't realize about older people is that, even though you look different on the outside, after about 25 or 30, you're still exactly the same on the inside. Just trapped in a changing body.

So true. I was once married to a woman who resisted every attempt by me to improve our lifestyle, by constantly saying that "we can't do that now - we're too old." The first time she ever said that to me was when we were both in our early 30's! I once countered that by saying that I didn't feel any different than I did when I was eighteen, to which she replied, "And you don't act any differently either!" As far as I know, she is now retired on the old age pension and living in a tiny little flat on the other side of the country. And me? 70 years old and still working in mining and civil construction, still loving my MGTOW life and still planning and dreaming - even if I am now "too old."
@r.mcbride28372 жыл бұрын
I don't think that "old age" thing means much anymore. More of a mental limiter than anything else. If you THINK you're too old, you start slowing down, etc. Been seeing great examples of the "can do" set lately - Willie Nelson, almost 90, and still touring, the Rolling Stones nearly in their 80's and going strong still after 60 years. Lots of others. It's more about staying in shape and staying challenged. 🙂

I live in Perth, Western Australia. One Saturday, I was on the train to Fremantle. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends in summer, with people going to Freo to go to the farmers' market and down to the beach. All of the seats were taken, so I was standing up next to a lady who could have been in her 70's. A young bloke got up and offered her his seat, but she politely declined, saying, "Oh no - that's for old people!" I thought to myself that with an attitude like that, she'll probably live to be 150.

My pain or fatigue may be a 6 or 7/10 but that doesn't mean I still can't be happy & find joy in my life and around me. It's attitude and gratitude.
