I travel for work. I had a suite a few years ago. Got bored on a Saturday and built a pillow fort. Left to do some things Sunday morning, came back to find more “construction” materials stacked up for an expansion. Spent Sunday afternoon building it up. Monday afternoon there was pictures of it behind the front desk. The head housekeeper took a picture of it. They still have the picture posted and talk about it when guests check in. Was talking to the clerk about it last time I was at the hotel, she said the guest must have been really bored..... I smiled and told her that I was very bored that weekend and was thankful housekeeping played along.

The Austrian hotel I stayed at once. As I recall it, their weather stone had more options too, though of course I cannot remember them. They had an earthquake instead of the tsunami, not many of the latter in the Alps. Edit: One more option was that they defined "Dry stone: Not raining, Stone casts a shadow: Sunny". A hotel on my island has a proposal bench. It’s located on a short cliff next to the beach, looks in the direction where the sun sets on the horizon, it’s a just far enough away from the path or other seating locations to give you some privacy, and has a pre-installed bucket to hold ice and a bottle of something nice. Does it look cliché, corny, predictable.... yes. But it’s still a great spot.

It's probably Boraxo, and I still buy it. In my laundry room I have an old 1950s Boraxo dispenser that came from an old gas station restroom, It's made of enameled steel and indestructible. I love that thing! Great hand soap for removing grease.

Fun with towel animals: Dog - leave with head over bowl of a few M&Ms for maid. Gorilla - hang from wall with drawing of buxomy blonde in 1 hand. Alligator - mouth stiffened with hangar and propped open with tip envelope inside, string to envelope drops mouth when pulled (hard to rig but fun). Bird - nest with hard boiled egg if available from breakfast bar.

I have a really cutsie photo of our stay in the USA when I was like 9. The staff arranged my three stuffed animals, so that the biggest (a dog) protected the tiny snow owl and guineapig and hugged them. I also once had a noodle as a straw. 0:47 Sheesh! Now wonder kids are so obese these days all that menu consists of is fatty, stodgy carbs! Where’s the vegetables, the good healthy home cooked meals? Children DO eat chicken casserole and mashed potato, spaghetti bolognaise, chilli con carne, sausage casserole, salad and jacket potatoes, and all these dishes can have mushrooms, onions, celery, sweet corn, peppers, leeks, etc all added to them. I don’t understand adding Mac n cheese as a side dish! WTH is with that!? In my house macaroni cheese is served as a main with either mushrooms added and salad, or prawns added and salad, or vegetables roasted. ONE serving of carbs and as many servings of salad and vegetables as you like! That’s how you end up with children that grow up healthy and aren’t picky eaters. They eat what you cook or go without.
