NO ONE is disagreeing about the seller's misrepresentations. He may very well have committed fraud. That shoddy repair work, done sometime in the past IS, in fact, pathetic. And most likely NOT certifiable for safety purposes But THAT is not the point. The fact is that you paid some twenty thousand plus dollars for the car and couldn't be bothered to ask for it to be driven to the closest lift for further inspection. I was shocked when Chad purchased this vehicle with little more than a cursory look at it. In watching many car build and restoration shows I have watched as they throughly examined every vehicle prior to puchasing them. To include wallowing in mud and worse to verify the sellers statements in regards to the intended purchase. One of the tells for me as regards a problem was when just prior to puchase Chad turned to Jolene and asked if she liked the car, her response was; 'If you do, I do'. After three plus years of watching Chad and Jolene interact it seemed a bit strange that she was not more specific when answering. Chad messed up. Plain and simple. All the whining in the world does not relieve him of the responsibilty of not doing due diligence before purchasing this car. 'It was to close to the wall'. 'How was I to see this, that and the other thing under the car'. Give me a break. You are a professional. I've seen you look, look, and look again before doling out cash. 'Let The Buyer Beware', is the foundational position from which to start the examination of a potential purchase. Just please stop the whining!

@@mritron7649It is obvious that this seller was being less then forthcoming from the beginning of their discussion. And as it went on the little details, such as the way the vehicle was conveniently parked in a way to inhibit a detailed examination As well as nuances in the conversation that should have been triggers. Particularly in the purchasing of vintage vehicles sadly a buyer has to assume that there will be discoveries that the seller will not reveal. They then will claim ignorance of the basis whatever that discovery or the less then truthful advertisement for the sale excluded or embellished. It's was Chad's responsibility to thoroughly examine the vehicle, top to bottom, front to back before purchase. Chad let himself and Jolene down by being flippant in the why he handlec this situation. I have never seen a vehicle purchased by Chad or other similar You Tubers were they didn't get a good look at the undercarriage. The mount that started the downward spiral of discoveries was 6" underneath the vehicle. Chad just needs to accept responsibility for a poorly executed purchase and move on. I bought a car in Australia, from a dealer, described as 'truly wonderful' condition and phrases like that. Took it for inspection, they gave 4 pages of stuff to fix before they would even look at it properly. Told me it would be 7000 to do that much on a car that I paid 8k for. I complained to dealer who said tough luck and he didn't believe he was required to describe accurately in ads. So I gave negative feedback on his web ads. He was on the phone immediately begging me to retract as it was 'costing him sales'! I said only if you take car back and refund. I got 95% refund... ONLY because I had that feedback power. Otherwise he would have done nothing and the legal people I spoke to said not worth trying to sue over the ad. So if you took the time to read that.... BE WARY! Trust noone.

There is no hole in the frame is a clue to what and how that is for. The L bracket has a hard rubber pad that supports the running boards. A center bolt fastens the rubber bushing to the bracket and the running board sits firmly on top of the rubber pad. Chaddy, He did say, "that you were the one that should have this car". Check the tape! If a couple of people looked at it and didn't pick it up, that was your first indication that something was awry . If it isn't 1947, why didn't the Motor Vehicles Branch pick up on that? If the car came across the Border from the US, the K22 form should have been checked and verified that it is what it is. Consequently, the Canadian and the Ontario Governments let you down on the registration of this car. The serial number should be located on the left front frame horn so you can verify the serial number and year it was made.
