Used the same EPDM roof Matt for my shed and it worked great. That contact adhesive absolutely stunk!

I like that Matt always has a slight smile on when filming his projects. I can tell he enjoys his work. BTE nice shed build, I wish I saw this years ago when I built mine in an over complicated and wasteful way.

Nice work Matt. That EPDM roof looked very easy to install and it’ll last forever (25-50 years I’ve seen quoted); much better than roofing felt. I’ve installed four GRP fibreglass roofs (on sheds, a porch and a side extension), which have a similar quoted lifespan but were certainly a more lengthy job than EPDM

The rubber roof option is quite popular these days. Something I think I'll give a go.

great work Matt, thankyou for the inspiration and tips along the way. Been planning my workshop... was originally going to use 5x2 for the floor and roof and 4x2 for the walls, I note you have gone 4x2 for the floor/roof and 3x2 for the walls... I'm more than a little alarmed at the price of timber... is using the larger timber I was planning a bit overkill? can you advise, please. Many thanks indeed.
@Badgerworkshop7 ай бұрын
It really depends on how big the building will be. On something small like mine 3x2s are fine

Hi Matt, love this project, thanks for sharing it with us. The base in particular is of massive interest to me as I was resigned to a concrete slab for a similar project but now I think I'll use this plastic grid system in combination with the plastic feet you used on your workshop to get the floor slightly off the ground. Quick question for you on the roof. Did you butt the OSB up against each other or did you leave an expansion gap (3mm or so)?
@Badgerworkshop2 жыл бұрын
I did not leave a gap

Enjoying the series. I wouldn't have bothered with the contact adhesive around the edge as the trims fixed in place around the edge which holds it in place. That's how Liam from oakwood garden rooms does it. Not that it really matters. Keep up the great work
