That low point bend in fuel line at 8.25 in video can collect water. A friend lost his tailwind with similar fuel line bend. Nice plane, great video.

You came to the exact same solution (check valve in parallel with a Facet pump) at the same time that I did for my Rose Parrakeet. I took a different approach to the piping, though, to minimize the restriction on the gravity feed path. Per Facet you should have a max 74 micron filter upstream of the pump.

Following along as I'm in the process of deciding on which aircraft I want to go with next. The Traveler looks promising!

Great intro! Thanks for sharing the build! Pumped to see it in the air

Awesome man! Enjoyed the wing tour. That should be a very efficient stol plane. With all that fuel you can really cover some territory. Like you said pull it back and still cruise relatively fast.

yikes , a good reminder of why it takes awhile to build any vehicle from scratch . I do like the idea of getting gas tank down low ,as Mike P did for his red bull cub to land on a chopper pad in Dubai . And funny a flash back to my mazda RX3 , had that same fuel pump ,cheap and simple . Will be good to see the performance .

Was that a beer fridge in the wing shop?

G,day from Sydney Australia. What an amazing hanger build shop. Just to see all the templates for the carbon fibre cowls etc. I have so many questions. However stick on track. Will the fuel still "gravity" flow to the carburettor in the event of an electrical pump fail? Q2. Why flex rubber fuel hose and hose clamps and not bend aluminium? Q3. Is it possible to build a fuselage frame and wings without a rotisserie frame, or is it essential? 🌏🇦🇺

They make an experimental version of the Enhanced Vision System like you can get as an option on a Cirrus. I always thought that would be an awesome thing to have when flying in the backcountry so you can see things like wildlife when landing.

How many gallons did those fuel tanks turn out to be?

Will you consider to put XeVision extreme output LED landing lights in the wing or wingtips. Contact me to discuss please.

I see you mounted the fuel transducer, the gold cube, with the wire out the side. I'm about to install the red cube and it says the wires have to be facing up for venting or something. Is there a reason you mounted yours with the wire out the side?
@ebadje2 ай бұрын
You can mount it wires up, 5 stud plate up, or outlet port up in order to prevent air bubbles getting stuck inside
