Another bonus, worth noting. is that when connecting with bluetooth to your phone/app (without paid subscription) gives you the current correct time/clock on the top-right on your display - which can also be seen here in the video, but it is not mentioned. Also it can show you notifications, such as missed calls when out riding (popup-messages).

I believe you can limit the speed at each pedal assist level to 25km/h, but did not see an option to adjust the torque provided by the motor. From my experience with dozens of ebikes the pedal assist levels only limit the max speed, and the power/torque does not change.

Hi, thanks for the video, do you know how to disable the accelerator? I live in a region where it is illegal to have it, but if I just disconnect it, it shows an error and the battery disappears on the screen.

The manual doesn't say how many watts the usb c port can support, but I wouldn't change more than a phone due to the power being supplied via thin display cable.

Hi, my DPC18 broke during moving and have to buy new one. Is it better to buy the same one or EKD01?

Either should work, and it's up to personal preference. Looking at the two the EKD01 can accept 50v batteries, and has bluetooth, but it may not be necessary if the DPC18 was already working for you.

I bought one from aliexpress, but the backlight is not working, tried all settings, no luck. Need flashlight to see something. Brightness, theme, fact reset, nothing helps. Is it broken or am i missing something. Connected to uart bafang m400

As far as I know the display is plug and play, and the backlit should work right out of the box. I'd reach out to the seller for help, and see if they can replace it.

I can't change the speed limit. It's fixed at 16mph and when I try to change it the up and down buttons do nothing. Any ideas?

Hello, did you purchase the display on it's own, or did it come with a preassembled ebike? Sometimes manufactures lock the speeds. Does it ask for a password when you try to change the speed limit?

@ColinLeung I figured it out ... if you hold the "+" button and the power button at the same time , it switches into cruise mode (locked to 16mph) . You do the same actions to take it out of cruise mode . I must off accidentally pressed both without knowing 🤣

Thanks for the question. You can try using the EKD01 app to see if it will register your model, and attempt to update the firmware, but I cannot be responsible if it bricks your device.

It was fine for 2 months with increased speed limit, but now for some reason EKD01 stuck on changing speed limit, by default it is 25 and buttons +&- do not work on this function . feel disappointed, don't know what to do, tried to reset, no luck :(

Hello Mike, you can try: Press and hold [+/-] buttons together for one second or longer to reset several temporary data points including; AVG Speed/MAX speed/Trip mode/Time mode.

Hello, is the battery connected to the controller, battery turned on, and controller plugged into the display? There may be an issue with either the battery, controller, or display, so I'd suggest double checking those and asking the manufacture to replace any that are defective. Thank you.
