I live in Singapore and many ladies carry this dior book tote a lot more than LV’s onthego. I still feel the matte look on the lady dior is good for more casual occasion and especially black will be super versatile. The trendy cc is a beautiful bag but many like me worry about color transfer or the durability of it due to the lambskin material.

It’s so funny how initially we can just hate the look of something but over time and the more you see it all of a sudden you’re in love. Personally, I love the Dior saddle bag, especially in black. It is so spot on with the logo placement 🐎 the thing that's stopping me from buying it (besides the price) is that it is automatically a bag for dressed down occasions, and I wasn't my first big splurge on that sized bag to be one that's more versatile for casual and evening events. Maybe someday I'll pull the trigger and get the saddle, but we'll see.

I had the same problem with colour transfer with my Senreve. I contacted them and they paid postage for me to return the bag and sent me a brand new one as a replacement. Their customer service is above and beyond. It might be worth contacting them about the colour transfer.

Sophie, could you sell the denim saddle bag and use the funds to buy the other saddle bag you were eyeing? That way you have a new updated look of the same bag for 2020, really get full use of such a trend lol. Also as man, I love your idea for the Book Tote. Atm, I use a shopper bag I got free from the Kooples for things like that, it be nice to have a real bag.

I just bought the large Dior oblique book tote... the only problem I have is, some small loose threads on the letters... but I looked at 5 different totes and they all had loose threads on different areas on the bag, mostly on the letters... my SA said it is normal and to leave it alone... he also said that if the thread should loosen up more that I have a warranty on the bag and they would send it to Paris to get it repaired... so 🤔

I bought the mini Dior Saddle bag. I know many hate it but I had to have it. Probably the worst investment but there is something so cool about it. I just wear it for fun, going to dinner when I just need to take my phone and lipstick. I think it makes a statement. The Dior associate said to just get the mini if I really want one (I think she felt the same way :). I also got a Lady Dior and bought a strap that goes with both bags so makes it more functional. Crazy what we spend but somehow we get sucked into this craze 😂. I did see on resale websites that the Dior book bag sells more than new!!

Sophie ... not sure if you’ll see this comment but your advise would be much appreciated. I have quite a few seasonal bags from Chanel and some discontinued models such as the Ligne Carbon , The Cloudy Bundle , stuff from LV like the Le Fab. These obviously were impulse purchases on my part and they won’t fetch a price and have a poor resale value compared to a Classic Flap or a Boy bag. If you were in my shoes would you still try and sell for whatever price you can get? Even at a loss? Most my bags are in mint condition with all the ID cards and dust bags bd the like. Just curious what you would advise. Many thanks !

Hey my friend! Here’s what I’d do personally - I’d sell but would take AMAZING photos. Literally do everything to make the bags look desirable, I like to take pics of them on a vanity table setting as (for me) I place my bag on my vanity at the end of each day and how it looks there is as attractive to me as how it looks when I wear it 😊 Inc pics of any paperwork you have, then use good key terms in your title so people can find it easier. eBay is always my first choice, good luck!xxx

Hi Sophie, I love your videos. Would like to get your opinion on which bag I should go for first. The Chanel Double Flap Medium (dream bag) or The Dior Ultra Matte Medium (dislike lady Dior until I saw the matte version where I can use it more often as it looks more casual then the usual GHW or SHW). Really undecided. The Chanel kept increasing their price but worried the Dior ultra matte version is seasonal and won’t be able to get it once it’s sold out.

Still debating on the Dior tote. I love it but I don’t agree with the price tag they’ve added to it. It’s extortionately expensive for canvas. :( On Valentino, I was so worried about the leather on the rockstud lock bag as it’s smooth shiny leather but after I got it and wore it consistently for weeks, I can attest that the leather is actually so durable. Only gets damaged if you really scratch it but I’ve banged around this bag and was not that careful but it’s held up so well with little to no damage lol. 😊
