ബൈജു പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ എനിക്കും മാരുതി 800 ഒരു nostalgic feeling തരുന്നതാണ്. ഞാൻ Engineering പഠിക്കുന്ന കാലം ആയിരുന്നു മാരുതി ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇറങ്ങിയത്. അന്ന് എന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ പ്രീമിയർ padmini ആയിരുന്നു. എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ജേഷ്ഠൻ ambassador മാർക്ക്‌ 2 ആയിരുന്നു ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നത്... അന്നൊക്കെ fiat ambassador കാറുകൾ രണ്ടു വർഷം കൂടുമ്പോൾ pachwork നായി വർക്ഷോപ്പിൽ കയറ്റണം. അങ്ങിനെ ഒരു മാസത്തോളം car വർക്ഷോപ്പിൽ ആയിരിക്കും. കൂടാതെ പണം ചിലവാകുന്ന അവസ്ഥയും. എന്നാൽ ഈ മാരുതി വന്നതോടെ patchwork എന്ന സംഭവം തന്നെ ഇല്ലാതായി !!!... കാരണം ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരമുള്ള alloy steel ആണ് മാരുതിയിൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ചത്. മറ്റൊരു കാര്യം indicator lights ആണ്. Fiat ambassor കാറുകളുടെ indicator lights ആറു മാസത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ ആയുസ്സില്ല. ഒന്നുകിൽ ബൾബ് അടിച്ചു പോകും. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ flashing system തകരാറിലാകും. എന്നാൽ മാരുതിയിൽ ഈ പ്രശ്നം തുടക്കം മുതൽ ഇല്ലേ ഇല്ല!!!. AC ഓണാക്കി മാരുതിയിൽ പോകുമ്പോൾ ഫ്ലൈറ്റിൽ പോകുന്ന പോലെ പുറത്തുള്ള ഒരു ശബ്ദവും കേൾക്കില്ല....fiat ac ആണെങ്കിൽ പോലും വണ്ടിയുടെ ശബ്ദം അകത്തിരുന്നു കേൾക്കുമായിരുന്നു..... മാരുതി അന്ന് പുതിയൊരു അനുഭവം ആണ് യാത്രികർക്കു നൽകിയത്... ഇത് ഇപ്പോൾ പറയുമ്പോൾ പുതിയ തലമുറയ്ക്ക് എത്രത്തോളം മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ പറ്റുമെന്നു അറിയില്ല. പുതിയ തലമുറ വാഹനങ്ങൾ വരുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് fiat ambassador standard ഇവ ഓടിച്ചവർക്ക് മനസ്സിലാക്കും മാരുതി വരുത്തിയ ന്യൂ എക്സ്പീരിയൻസ് 👍👍👍

U r great. We have a MARUTHI Alto 800 now(purchased 2014). I feel very much nostalgic for the name MARUTHI, thanks to Sanjay Gandhi and genre for choosing totally an Indian name when all manufacturers of anything name their products in any language except Indian. U know our family house in this TVPM city is MARUTHI from around 1957 and some post man used to deliver official letters to one nearby authorised MARUTI service centre. That much is the attachment towards the car. Unfortunately, they are changing their options to bigger ones whereas my preference has always been smallest ones. Any how hatsoff to u for bringing out such an article about MARUTHI. Great
