I bought the one on my F150 in December of 2019 right after I bought the truck. Mine has the little plastic buckles and the rods, it doesn’t have the hard edges like the new one. I’ve had good luck with it, but it did take hail damage from a storm that didn’t damage my truck. It is extremely heavy as you fold it forward, glad to see they made the new version a bit lighter.

Ya I noticed a significant weight difference when folding the unit. Nice to see a product increase in quality and refinement for once.
