Indigo Child: Long term and consistent use of sunscreen; she applies and reapplies it every day. As well as long term use of a retinoid; she applies tretinoin 0.1% every night. Per Dr Dray, the only evidence-based anti-aging products/ingredients are sunscreen and tretinoin.

Hi Dr. Dray. Thank you so much for addressing this. Another viewer attacked me for asking about this since you had addressed it in a prior video. I felt like an idiot for asking after that. I highly doubt my question has anything to do with you making this video today, but, it does make me feel better about asking the question. I was always told there are no stupid questions. KZbin viewers seem to disagree with that sentiment. Lol. So, thank you again for your dedication to educating us. I, for one, appreciate your time and effort so very much. 😊

Nope, no question is stupid but I'm sure that person did not mean to come across in that manner. Many of Dr Dray's viewers and readers of comments come across the same questions over and over so in order to help out we try to be pleasant and use as less words as possible because we do sound like a broken record after a while (Lush anyone?). Please don't take it personally and do feel free to ask any question you like :).

Don’t feel bad for asking a question that might already be addressed. People forget that sometimes we can just miss information or miss watching a particular video due to, ya know, life. Besides, if youtubers see questions repeat, they know people are really interested in the topic. That way they know what their viewers most want.

Always love your content. Thanks for addressing this even though I’m a year late watching it. I have used this for a few years now off and on in products. My problem is the products I have that have this ingredient also always seem to have fragrance or a strong scent that aggravates my eyes. No I do not put this near my eyes because I know it will cause problems but even still I feel my eyes starting to itch and water.

Thanks for your videos Dr Dray, they are incredibly helpful! I have a question: is bakuchiol the same as babchi oil? At first it look like the indian name for bakuchiol and I bought it,but on the label it says that it's very irritative for the skin membrane so it has to be mixed with other carrier oils..I am confused! Do you know if it is safe to use it and if gives the same results as bakuchiol?

Hi Dr Dray, I would love for you to make another video about bakuchiol and whether or not there is new evidence about its efficacy, for example, when used with a retinol? As it is an anti-oxidant, could it work a bit like vitamin C is supposed to and offer extra protection from sun damage when used with SPF?

I started using the Herbivore Bakuchiol because I’m pregnant. Love this product. Leaves my skin glowing and dewy, I highly recommend tying it if you want to get into Bakuchiol! Thanks for the info!

MeghanM: I don’t believe there are peer reviewed studies yet stating that bakuchiol is safe for pregnant women. I would make sure you talk to your healthcare provider(s) about it.

Thank you Dr. Dray! As this was posted 4 years ago, would you say that the research on Bakuchiol has improved since then? Interested to see what your “updated” thoughts may be, if any.

this isn’t related to this video but i would deeply appreciate it if you responded Dr. Dray. In an older video, the AM skin routine for oily skin, you used CeraVe’s foaming cleanser, i recently bought the Equate Beauty facial foaming cleanser and it has almost the same ingredients and it’s breaking me out. I wanna know if it’s actually the same as the CeraVe one or if i should switch to CeraVe. Again i would deeply appreciate your response. thank you

Hiii, I just found your channel and I really like it so far:)) I would like to ask for some advice though^-^ I am a 19 year old female, and I have noticed that I have started getting lines (I think wrinkles but idk) around my eyes (especially when I smile) and forehead. I know that these are normal and everyone has them, but I am worried that I am getting them earlier and quicker than many my age and I am not sure if they will get a lot worse or stay the same in my 20's. I also have very light and sensitive skin & rosacea. Do you have any advice for me? Should I use anything for my eyes? Thank youu:))

Happy Tueday. Just read an article on this ingredient from the BBC news. Thank you for more in-depth information. Sounds hopeful for wrinkles and fine lines with less irritation. Let's hope it will be affordable as beauty companies add it to products. Hugs....Sherry

Sherry Reis: Unfortunately, I think manufacturers are going to put a premium on this ingredient and charge a lot of money for inclusion in their products. It will be a very profitable revenue stream for them with a lot of misleading claims to CONvince you to buy it.

Great video! Could you do another video on bakuchiol diving deeper into the current research / studies ? I want to figure out if this ingredient is actually helpful / effective. You did mention one study that sounded really promising - has there been replication done of that study or any follow-ups? Thanks!!

It's an ancient ayurvedic herb, (India) And ayurveda is known for safe healing,.... Its known for 0 side effects. Because it focus on natural healing by using herbs available in nature,.. And ancient Indian texts mention bakuchi plant as an important herb in treating skin disorders. Well every ancient civilization, has some natural advance remedies, against newly born chemical remedies that do more than good.

I've been waiting for this video. I have tried using retinol and Differin brand and just can't. My skin loves it and I don't have really any sensitivity. My eyes hate it. I tried creating an ocular barrier like you've shown in past videos and it still doesn't matter. It's actually painful to my eyes. It makes them ache. I got a sample of Biossance Phyto Retinol and gave it a try. It doesn't bother my eyes at all and I haven't had a monthly cystic acne breakout on my chin area since using it. Too bad it's so expensive. Thanks for the videos!

Dr. Dray you've been looking amazing lately, radiant and fresh 😍 Do you still use neautrogenas hydroboost?
@jt8142

gabrielafndzdoval: Dr Dray’s Dec 2018 skincare routine video says she uses the humectant, Red Earth Deep Dive Water Cream. Prior to that she used Hada Labo Plumping Gel Cream. I suspect she is still using one of these 2 humectant products instead of Neutrogena Hydro Boost.
