Izuku's mother is arguably one of the greatest mothers in any anime series. She been through so much, helped her son try to be the very best that he could be, and supported him the best way she could. To be perfectly honest, if the end of this episode still had her not allow her son to stay at the school, I would actually partially be okay with it. This is a extremely real reaction and logic, especially from a mother whose heart is in the right place. I hope everyone can appreciate the best mother of the series

For some reason they cut it in the anime, but there's a whole bit in the manga when AFO is being locked in Tartarus where he tells the guard how he's essentially _blind_ (I mean... he's got no friggin' eyes!) and has to use quirks (infrared vision, ecolocation, and whatnot) to _"see",_ which the safety measures in Tartarus interfered with... that is to say, that whole fight this last couple of episodes _both_ All Might and AFO were seriously _crippled_ from the start... just imagine what their previous fight, when they were at their prime and ended up almost killing each other, must have been like...

@@mariapazgonzalezlesme The entire point behind your original comment was that the mangaka was not going the typical anime route of having an absent or disinterested parent because Izuku's mom was so involved. MY point was that the mangaka did the exact opposite of what you are saying by never mentioning Izuku's father except for one brief line about his quirk in the first episode. Nothing else. No pictures in the house, no mention of if he's alive or dead, never talking about him, never saying his name, not once did the mom ever say "I'll have to talk to my husband about this life altering decision I am about to make for our son", not one of those flashbacks to Izuku as a little kid playing hero with his dad, nothing. Even the fact that he works overseas is something you did NOT learn from the manga or the anime. That is information you can only learn from googling interviews with the mangaka. Also, he probably is not a chef. That is a rumor based on a fan theory that he is "Lunch Rush" the school cook in the cafeteria. In most other anime they at least explain WHY the parents aren't around. In MHA they never do, at least not yet. It's the very definition of the absent parent troupe. Hell, his name literally means, "It's been a long time since I've seen you"

That little "I am here!" scene with young Deku and his mother is actually based off of a similar game the series creator Horokoshi did with his mother when he was a kid. He said that while his readers might not think much of it, he personally cried while writing the scene.

Just a quick note: the bow that All Might gives to Izuku's mom is called a "dogeza" - the deepest form of respect. It essentially begs the other person to forgive the shameful bower, who is lowered to the ground with their faces touching the floor. It's a serious deal in Japan, and All Might is basically groveling.

All Might is the dad that Izuku never had, and I feel that Inko sees that. That's why she doesn't want All Might to give up his life for Deku- she wants him to actually BE THERE for her son. She did say, though, that her son looks up to him, so she could also just have a "student-mentor" view of it, but I personally do think that she sees that close relationship between them. ;w;

One of my favorite things about Inko, besides the fact that she’s a pure cinnamon roll who raised another pure cinnamon roll, is her design. Most anime protagonist moms are either really pretty with a perfect body or not around(dead most of the time), but Inko is a great representation of most moms her age. She doesn’t have a perfect body and is pretty chubby, but that just makes her even better to me, she looks like what a mom actually looks like and it’s so rare to see that in an anime. She is absolutely precious and I love her.

Baku Mom's name Mitsuki and she's well she is a fiery one that's for sure(she's also 38). Masaru is a fashion designer if my memory serves me well and I kind of feel sorry for the dude. He seems like the only normal one in that family... also about Tomura and Sensei. I'm glad for Horikoshi's little spin on the trope. It always happens in movies that heroes overnight leave their loved ones, even the bad guys know they have loved ones, bc they think if they leave villian will believe that they have no connections anymore and loved ones are safe. But they still care so the loved ones are still weakness and now can be in danger. I like how Horikoshi made AFO smart enough to see through it and made him go true evil genious and go after the family members when hero wasn't there to protect them. He knew the hero still cared and that it'll crush them and show them the hopelesnes of their sefless act. It's do twisted and evil. I love it
