മേനോന്‍ സർ, എനിക്ക് 3-4 വയസ്സുള്ളപ്പോൾ YMCA യും ബാലരമ യും ചേർന്ന് നടത്തിയ Drawing മത്സരത്തിൽ ഒന്നാം സമ്മാനം ലഭിച്ചു. 1984-85 കാലഘട്ടം ആയിരിക്കും. അതിന്റെ സമ്മാനം തന്നത് മേനോൻ സാർ ആണ്. അതിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോ ഇന്നും എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഉണ്ട്. ഒരു അമൂല്യ നിധി പോലെ. അന്ന് തുടങ്ങിയതാണ് മേനോൻ സാറിനോടുള്ള ഇഷ്ടം. അത് ഇന്നും ഒട്ടും കുറയാതെ ഉണ്ട്. എന്നും ഉണ്ടാകും.

Sir I have to tell you two things. I was introduced to your movies by my mother who likes all your movies. As newly wed couples, my parents used to watch all your movies with my father's siblings as third wheel with them. So there are lot of memories attached to your movies. In addition to the story of the movie, things which happened on the way from a second show were thrilling to listen. Anyways my two points are these 1. Many great directors has brought out the best of performances of Shri Prem Nazir, but according to me you are that one director who brought Prema Nazir more closer to the common man. You broke the myth around Prem Nazir and presented him as a common man who has all emotions of any one sitting in the audience of your movies. So hats off to you for that. 2. Please write a book on all these anecdotes. Each and every episode is a gem. If you had already published one please forgive my ignorance. The book will be valuable addition to the home libraries of many movie buffs. Your genuine performance makes you stand out on screen even if it was a small role of a Church Father in Kadal Kadanna Mathukutyy. Looking forward to more anecdotes.

Today’s episode is very touching. The two incidents mentioned here is unbelievable and poignant. Once upon a time, a gentleman named Moideen worked sincerely to make a movie. Years later, his life was made into a movie and unfortunately, he is not around to witness it. An unseen support helped you out from deep waters - a divine intervention. Filmy Fridays has become an inevitable ‘must-watch’ item every Friday. Waiting, very eagerly, for next Friday. Best wishes to you.
