And the Mirage 2k is extremely fast ,at both high ,and low levels. Very capable of doing Mach 2.2 if need be .Our pilots have accrued a lot of hours in this jet, and feel very comfortable in it. These are faster than the Jaguars even at low levels, and have excellent range ,and pay load capacity .Once their bomb load is off ,they become very formidable dog fighters.

Atlast after so long years our present Government has dared to teach lesson to Pakistan. But, in my view, the air strike has not affected Government Forces of Pakistan. Only terrorists were killed. Another reason that the SU30 was not used was because they were used to fly CAP, to protect our Mirage 2k,and our home land from a counter attack. The bombing radar on the Mirage 2k is very highly regarded even in this era.

Bison was used because it’s a highly manoeuvrable especially when on intercept missions, whereas SU30s are not that much manoeuvrable although they are multirole fighters and can very well be used for medium interception & precision bombing. Maximum flying time of Bison is 40-45 mins and it’s best use is of an interceptor.

Bro what are you saying ! SU 30 mki is among the best in class jets when it comes to perform critical maneuvers. That was the reason why Pakistani jets didn't dare to come closer to SU 30 on that day. MIG 21B was there because of its quick seed of interception and the SU 30 were deployed to protect the vital assets on ground from possible Pakistani air strikes. So don't doubt the capability of Sukhois
