Thanks so much. I'm moving my gym into the garage and have been struggling to decide whether a foam interlock could hold together against the strain of 'round the world planks' or wide squats or other exercises where the joins are being actively and repeatedly pulled at. This video was really helpful!

I have the rubber top w Eva foam bottom (multi density) rubber tiles with the specs and they are better for weights! Do these non rubber top but all Eva foam tiles feel heavy and Sturdy and stay in place with simple walking on them or are they light weight and move around fast? I am looking for those wood grain looking Eva foam tiles, but trying to see if they offer any with high density that feel heavy and will stay in place and not move around! Only high density tiles I keep seeing are those gym rubber top foam bottom mats. They only come in that black with specs.

Would u recommend this for like wrestling,throws etc, if u put like 2 mats on top of each other
@DJayAce44 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not. I've had FOAM puzzle mats like these (foam=cheap) for the last 7 years. They are super light weight and cheap to buy. They shift around very easily when shuffling around or moving something around on them. The locking mechanism doesn't hold well over time. Over time they will start to split apart from one another and shuffle around on your floor. You will also start to break small pieces of foam off of them over a long period of time. It's just a matter of time... If you have gym equipment on top of them it is very hard to keep them in place. Which would seam odd because you have 200lb of different equipment on top of them but they still move around and split apart no matter what... Honestly after all these years I'm done. I ran into this video on accident trying to find another alternative like a single large mat or maybe some of these that are heavier and made of rubber and not cheap foam. Stay away from the foam ones, especially if you are going to use them to wrestle on, I'm 10000% sure it will not work.

If you match up the corners correctly there won’t be any overhang. Just move it around until it matches up.

Hey dude. Great video! How goes the jumping rope on this mat? Can you move the mat without taking it apart?
@jason54094 жыл бұрын
You can move it. Jumping on it would probably cause pieces to start to separate. Create gaps.

I bought a different brand (anko from Kmart) and put that non slip underlay (for use under rugs) under it. It's really sturdy now! I can do lunges and stretches with zero fear of slippage and the foam is MUCH more comfy to stand/ kneel on than my prior bedroom carpet. So glad this vid gave me the courage to try EVA tiles!

I will be doing a lot of jumping, and high impact exercises like Jump Knee Tucks on it, wondering how well you think the absorption is. Worried with my tough floor the abortion will be high and really hurt me in the long term with the padding being a bit thinner - any thoughts?
@FusionKidd5 жыл бұрын
It's just enough to provide cushion without sinking into it, it shouldn't snag up your feet or anything like that. Even though the padding is somewhat thin, it made a huge difference for me. No more knee pain from jumping on concrete!
