@@BaldFoodieGuy I don't actually subscribe to your channel, I dip in and out of yours and others if you've been reviewing items I might have purchased or thinking about purchasing, mainly appliances such as Sage, and some of the food items as I'm from a slightly older generation than yourself and also a long career in hospitality. What you earn has absolutely nothing too do with anyone else other than HMRC, yourself and family and possibly if you have one an accountant. The people especially from the UK don't talk about how much we earn, yes you'll have a few anywhere in the world who'll boast about what they have. A late friend of mine always said treat others how you like to be treated. Just keep doing what you've chosen to do with your life, as it's your life to live how you want and whatever money you make you do with it whatever everyone else who earns money from a living do, buy what you want and do what you want with it

Hi Gareth, it's absolutely appalling that there are people out there who will take pot shots at anyone and anything just to make themselves feel better. At the end of the day I beleive it is jealousy pure and simple, small minded people with nothing better to do with their time. I personally watch your channel because it is just that - your channel and I suspect a lot of others do too. You come across as one of life's nice guys with a genuine personality that people warm to, and for some bizarre reason that puts some people out, annoying them to the point of making hurtful and spiteful comments. At the risk of stating the obvious, it's they who have the problem. Don't ever stop being you because it's why myself, and I suspect the vast majority of those who subscribe to your channel, look forward to your content.

I unexpectedly lost my wife last week and it's videos like yours that have been helping me cope with the trauma of it all, by taking my mind off it all. I've been watching KZbin close to 15 years maybe more, and retired self employed window cleaner of nearly 30 years. Never been in the armed forces or the emergency or the medical field god bless you all. I am an absolute mess due to my personal life with depression and anxiety, My job and KZbin saved my life back then, and KZbin still does. I've been a casual watcher of your videos and it's provided a bit of light hearted entertainment....for free. I gave up normal tv a few years ago, and I now only use it to watch KZbin videos from subscribers who I have a genuine interest in. Yours is one of a few who I always tune in to, and I find you to be the most honest and probably the best food review channel there is, and I look forward to every new video. I also like Stockybloke too, he's another genuine bloke who I can relate to. This is an interesting video, and I can understand why you did it, although it makes no difference to me how much money you make. You were clearly uncomfortable, making this. As soon as I started work, in 1961, after university, I learn't not to discuss incomes with anybody. Once a fellow employer managed to obtain our manager's pay list , and came to me and said that I got a little more than him , and that wasn't right. There was a qualification reason, but he was still envious Since then, if anyone asked me about earnings, I simply touched the side of my nose and smiled. Seriously though, I started watching you bc I have a severe dairy allergy and when you show the ingredients, I actually find that very helpful. You're not hurting anyone. You're not spreading hate. You're talking about food. It is what it is. You looked genuinely bothered in the video and I felt for you. As far as I'm concerned, you're having some fun, making some £ from it, and obviously, you have a following of more people who like you than those who don't. I have a friend who has only one arm. He was born that way. Amazingly, he is a wood turner and posts his work on KZbin. He gets hateful messages from all over the world despite his inspirational efforts. One even said "Three limbs down, only one to go." Sick, horrible people everywhere. However, I just want to believe that we simple, normal, caring and moral people outnumber them. Keep your head up lad.

Hi Gareth. I used to be a bus driver and I know exactly how you feel. If I had one bad comment or dickhead get on my bus, I'd carry that shit around with me all day. I eventually learned to relax and take a deep breath and kick it out of my mind. That's what you have to do. Mate, you bring so much pleasure to people through your videos. Honest reviews with a hint of humour and sarcasm. It's easy to say not to let the morons bother you. You have put yourself into every home. You could go to the pub and someone be rude, or the supermarket or the corner shop. It wouldn't stop you going again. Take pride in what you are doing. Try to ignore the negatives in life and concentrate on life. You seem like an honest bloke who is trying his best for his family and enjoying it. Not many of us enjoy our jobs like you do. Hi Gareth, Please do not become disheartenbed by the detractors who have sent you messages or left negative comments. I see nothing in your videos that would have prompted this reaction. I assume therefore that it must be your live streams (which I do nopt watch) that have shown some vulnerability. You should not have felt the need to create an apology video for being successful. People are nosey and of course they would like to know what you earn - that's a given. It would be nice to think people could use your story as an inspiration to get on and do something themselves instead of becoming bitter and jealous. On a lighter note I shop in Aldi and I used to enjoy the occasional sausage roll from there as a treat and i saw your clip on Greggs vs Aldi vs Iceland sausage rolls. I stopped treating myself to Aldi’s sausage rolls because they became too salty. But tried them this week and they have improved. Trouble is that now because of your clip I have to go to Iceland and buy a pack of Gregg’s and Iceland’s rolls to check them out. You have done me no favours there ! Dont tell the wife please. Gareth, how a person earns their money, and how much or little they earn, is no-one's business but their own - So long as no-one is hurt in the process. And in your case, you really do HELP people. My cupboards are well stocked with the various "essentials" ranges, and it has saved me a pretty penny, I can tell you! Your comparison videos alone have contributed to my savings hugely. So thank you. These people who message or make other videos about your business are seriously lacking as human beings - mentally and/or emotionally lacking; they aren't decent.
