Thete was no minoxidil or finasteride yet. Today as a middke aged he still looks almost the same. Still has hos horsehpe and mustache. Just a bit of gray now. He never let it hold him back from being a success.

Infront of his classmates? Hats off (literally). Gave myself a year to lose weight before shaving. Dropped over 80 pounds and now 3 months rocking that bald. My dad started his male pattern baldness in his 40's. I mentioned it to mom one day, after I'd noticed, and she said, "Don't say anything about it. He's already self-conscious." I picked on him for the next 40 years about shaving his head. He died Oct. 25th, 2024, at 84, and still hadn't accepted his hairloss. I began losing my hair, exactly the same way, but, because of a hobby I'm still involved in, head shaving isn't a big deal. So, from my 40's, until 58, I've been, fully, shaving my head for almost 20 years. I've never regretted it. My ex told me once, if I ever attempted a combover, like my dad had, she would shave my head in my sleep, which was one of the nicer things she threatened to do to me in my sleep. But, I told her, I'll do it myself, not a problem. I said all of that to say this.... guys, it's really not a big deal. Yes, I had about two "oh shit" moments, then, I did it and I've never looked back. I think we are bigger and better men for it. We're not trying to hide anything. I swore, partially because of my dad, that I would never try to hide it. I've embraced it completely. After a doctor's warning, I can't go out into full sun without my head being covered or without sunscreen, but, that's a small price to pay for being okay with yourself.

Its nothing new. When i was in school there was a kid 16 or 17 that lost almost all on top. He grew a stache and kept the horseshoe. The balding didnt affect his schoolwork. Ended up becoming a chemist making great money. Today as a middle aged guy he still has the horseshoe and stache. In some ways he looks like he hasnt aged since school.

There was a kid in my high school that went bald on top by the time he was in the 11th grade. He was a grade or two a head of me. He kept the horseshoe and grew a mustache. Even back than no one made fun of him. He was a top student, popular and had a great attitude. Today hes middle aged, has a great career as a chemist and makes really good money. The kicker is he still has the sane horseshoe and mustache. Except for some graying he looks the sane since highschool. Other people I know havent aged nearly as well. This guy all through highschool was positive and worked hard. It payed off. I can tell you have a great attitude. Good going.

DHT production on your body is good , except for hair follicules , it will destroy it slowly. You basically need to block DHT in this specific area, and promote blood circulation , to have hair. Not easy task .

Young people will see you as old. This doesnt happen at 70 or 80 it happens much quicker. By your late 20s and early 30s. Wrinkles and aging come pretty fast. If you can keep your hair fine but thats not the only thing that makes a person look old or young.

If you're still good and 9 years have gone by.I wouldnt worry. Enjoy having your hair. You have kept your follicles open and alive for 9 years. Thats a nice accomplishment. The longer you keep it the better shape youll be for new future treatments.

Tell you my experience. I took finasteride from 18 to 30. For that time, it worked wonderfully. I had a very nice hair. Then I married and stop taking it. Then my hair started to fall more and more. But the signs of balding didn't appear until I was 35. Then I tried minoxidil, finasteride again and dutasteride. But it was late and nothing worked as I expected.

Also they say it takes about 18 months for full results from finasteride or dutasteride. Its a process. The haur goes through growing cycles and each cycle the hair wiol thicken.

Here's what's interesting to me. Im seeing this series as groups of men losing their individuality much more than simply losing their hair. What I mean by that is, sure, we all come in different shapes and sizes, but by the end of just about all of these videos we close with a bald guy with beard...talking to another bald guy with a beard...who in just the prior video talked to...a bald guy with a beard.
