I like them but even though they're bigger than the original, they're still just too tiny. Good for portability, but not comfortable to use unless you've got tiny hands. I wish somebody would put these specs in a clamshell. The Powkiddy v90 is a little more comfortable, but the screen is too tiny. What we need is a Miyoo Mini+ Clamshell.. the extra half-inch on the screen makes a big difference and being able to have 3.5" for the control surface would be way more usable.

it's not THAT hard to get. and the markup for amazon is usually worth it to get it in under 2-3 weeks, but i went through a few of them buying them on ali-express when one broke(because i dropped it) or i gave one away
@baldlyrudy Жыл бұрын
The Plus is way easier to get than the original Mini. Getting it through Amazon is a much more convenient way of getting it, but that's why there's a markup, yeah?
@asherael Жыл бұрын
@@baldlyrudy i really never had trouble with original minis. there were some times of scarcity, but i was soon able to order one, or find one available via amazon or a reasonably priced reseller. what was infuriating was being completely unable to buy replacement screens when i broke two of them, instead of just replacing the whole unit

Ooof. Yeah. I'm assuming there's scarcity for spare parts. It kind of makes repairing it disheartening.

Right now, the Miyoo Mini Plus. At the same time, I'm probably still in the honeymoon phase of having it. I'm going to make a comparison video, but it'll be after I've had some time with it. I want to be honest with my comparison and as unbiased as possible.

Sorry to be dumb but does this come with games already loaded? thanks!
@baldlyrudy Жыл бұрын
Not a dumb question at all. To answer your question, it does. The two that I've purchased came with thousands of games. I'd definitely recommend going with a new microSD card though (SanDisk or Samsung are great). The cards that they ship with tend to fail easily and are pretty slow.
@nofinglimit Жыл бұрын
OK thank you so much. Will the card you are recommending come with games? Or that up to me to take care of? Thanks!@@baldlyrudy
@baldlyrudy Жыл бұрын
@nofinglimit you're going to have to transfer the old files to the new card. But everything should work just fine. If you're up for it, I'd also recommend installing Onion OS.

@baldlyrudy Жыл бұрын
It's a third party reseller. To buy directly from Miyoo, you have to buy from their storefront on AliExpress.
@fryke Жыл бұрын
The "supply issues" really is a demand issue here, because the Miyoo mini (the earlier one) was already such a big hit. The RG-35XX was considered more of a placeholder device until this one came around. GarlicOS was created to have "something like OnionOS" on that device. So if the Miyoo Mini Plus is constantly sold out, it's because truly everyone (i.e. 95%) a) loves it and b) remembers how getting the original Miyoo mini was actually restrained in supply and at some point simply couldn't be produced any longer by Miyoo.
@baldlyrudy Жыл бұрын
I mean, I get where you're coming from. If it's truly a demand issue, then from a business perspective there are two things to do: increase supply and manufacturing or (unfortunately) increase the price to ease the demand. With how everything happened with the Miyoo Mini, you'd think that they'd have learned from their launch and have figured out their manufacturing issues. I don't think there's anything wrong with their distribution. Regardless, it's a heck of a handheld.
