Tbh i was waiting for some showcase of PICO8, GB, GBC experience on this device, due to 1:1 aspect ratio but you focused on psp, dc, n64 which is kinda not the purpose of this device in the first place. But still thank you for the review.

Hey! Ive been looking into a retro system for a while, ive been overly skeptical but i think the price for this seems fair and i love dreamcast so might give this a go! I recently brought an rg cube and rg35xx sp from aliexpress. They're awesome! I love the rg cube more though. It's kinda like a chonky mini steamdeck. And it plays some switch games too! The only thing I didn't like (and maybe I don't know how to turn it off) is that whatever goes in the headphone jack port makes the device go into headphone mode? I put a cute dust plug into it but it automatically went to headphone mode and I was wondering why I couldn't hear any sound.

Do you know why my Rg cube xx doesn't have Nintendo emulators, I just bought it on Amazon.

Retroarch emulates a lot of Nintendo platforms.

A used retroid pocket 2+ or 2S are also a GREAT option for horizontal 4:3 gaming

The 2S was one of the first Retroid handhelds I ever got. It's still a beast for most of the retro games that I play.

@@baldlyrudy i almost bought a 2s but the 2+ is plenty powerful for older stuff. I feel like most things that need more horsepower are 16:9 stuff.. except maybe Sega Saturn emulation

@mrburns366 by the time I got into this hobby, the 2+ was long gone from Retroid's site.

@@baldlyrudy the 2s has a MUCH better dpad. The 2+ is stiff. The 2s has dome switches i think and is more like a PS Vita or Switch.. Not exactly a retro feel but much more accurate and responsive. Retroid hasn't perfected their rubber membranes. at least not based on the RP2+ and RP3+ that I own
