The SD isn't the best PC handheld specs wise, but the community around it and the software support from Valve makes it the best option for most.

@@kwicksandz I'm good with OG ally. I've had it for a year now and I never have any problems all my games work fine and smooth. Why wait for something that is not available if there is a better device that is more powerful and no limitations and can play all games in pc.

Been playing video games since the days of Nintendo Family Computer, Super Nintendo, PS1, PS2.. Then I stopped playing. After watching the early reviews of the Steamdeck, I got really excited because of Emudeck. I bought mine January 2023, and since then, I never stop playing video games. Steamdeck is the game changer.. I know it'll be a while but Can't wait for Steamdeck 2!

I bought the Rog Ally X and Steamdeck (just got it yesterday) to compare and see which one I prefer. The only thing I'm concerned about is the unsupported games on Steamdeck. I don't want to be limited to what I can play.

STOP STOP STOP 0:45 the Steam Deck is literally the only PC handheld that's worth it right now. The windows based ones are horrible according to software and longevity, since the Steam Deck is based on Linux, which is Open Source. So if Valve suddenly stops to support it, the Community can support it themselfs, that's why its so important that it's Open Source. If you want something with more power, just buy a PC, but not a bullshit handheld which is not the Steam Deck... to the love of the community, for your experience and your wallet...

Not out of the box. You'll need to install Windows in order for Lossless Scaling to work. As far as I know, it doesn't work with SteamOS/Linux.

Coincidentally I just installed it the other day. Chiaki4Deck appears to be unavailable now (or at least I had issues finding it), but chiaki-ng is available when searching the Discover software center in desktop mode. I was able to add that as a non-Steam game and it worked perfectly.
