Baldur's Gate 2 - How To Escape The First Dungeon

I played this when it first came out, and am playing the enhanced edition now. As someone who tends to restart games a *lot* to try new classes/play styles, the Dungeon-Be-Gone mod was an absolute godsend. Gives you all the stuff and xp you'd have found/earned, and teleports you straight to the exit.

For those on PC, there is a mod called "Starting dungeon begone" that skips it and give you all the gear as well.

The cool part is that you can double the xp and gear if you play level one before you talk to the guy and play level two after he teleports you to the exit 😉

I find this very interesting: I always loved that first dungeon, but I always stopped playing after I finished it, because when the world opens up it's just a complete overload. Well, I finished it "in one go" the first time around, back in the early 00s, but it took EE for me to finish it a second time, simply because there is just too much to do in the world and there are about 17 magical items I want to find before I "start the game" and if you know what's all there, long-term planning becomes a chore. Or in simple terms: I love this dungeon. The painting btw contains the golden pantaloons if you import a playthrough with them.

You escape it by staying awake. It was easily the worst part of an otherwise grand adventure.

I could probably escape this dungeon with my eyes closed 'cuz I've done it like times but I still watched it. Dunno why xD great video tbh I hope it will be helpful for some people

🤣loved the dungeon when i played it years ago. it was very dense as each room had some new story to tell or character to interact with. a few darker moments with the dryads and specimen boy. the prisoners dilemma i didnt know at the time and thought it was interesting window dressing.

I don't know ... i did beat this game when i was ~12 AND game was in language i barley spoke... ...If you need help here you will probably need a guide for the rest of the game ... ... but i guess if you were willing 2 even give this game a go and u can still have fun it's ok ?

Last time I played I made my own group in the Throne of Bhaal,then exported them into this game.I think you start at level 15 or so.

i dont get all my gear after the djinni. all i get is sword of chaos plus 2. And i might've forgot about something but when i had improved invisibility on why cant i cast fireball freely? the mephits interrupt me and slaugther me?
