Gale is so funny I have no idea how people can hate him
@speedscampi52177 ай бұрын
Fr, he can also be surprisingly wholesome and depressing too, I’m currently on my second playthrough, in my first playthrough I found Gale a lot more late than most people bc I wasn’t using guides, I needed Exp so I wouldn’t get killed by the shadowlands/underdark so I accidently stumbled by him I have to say he became one of my favorites, his story is not Karlach level sad but tugs at the heart strings, but the ending is what sold it, my original ending Gale was begging me to kill himself to save us, I originally rejected it but then got destroyed by the brain like 5-7 times (I’d never played a tabletop or RPG with BG3s depth so I still was figuring out how all the stats worked, I reloaded and let Gale kill himself, seeing him do it, then his ghost at the epilogue party nearly brought me to tears, what did it especially is when after reading the note about saying how no matter what happened he wanted his friends to keep living, Tav hugs Gales projection and he says “Gale was lucky to have a friend like you” you can almost feel Gale come back through there it just shows how much Tav meant to Gale I can say after that I instantly reloaded and had to use all the NPCs u can summon and junk and beat the brain with Gale alive 😅

The first one I really noticed, was as a Dragonborn Draconic Bloodline Sorceror, whilst chatting to Shovel. Shovel will give you shit as a sorceror, which is cool, but as a Draconic Bloodline, he says you smell funny, like a dragon. You have several options to respond, which is cool, but if you are also a dragonborn, you can tell him that you ARE a dragon, and he gets really excited, with a few cool comments I won't spoil. It's such a simple little thing, but make such a massive difference to how individual you feel with each character, and there are so many other examples tucked away in this game. It's amazing.
