With this Gale moment you actually can lead it to being close in a friendly way and I think it's cool that the game provides an opportunity to experience an intimate conversation between friends. Gale does fall in love too easily with the main character if you play as a good person though ahah

Congrats on knocking out Minthara fam. She will come to her senses later on lol. She is a companion. The only other way to recruit her besides knocking her out is to raid the grove, and i know thats not what you wanna do lol.
@charliewalter41382 ай бұрын
I like the way you play: a good balance between "chaotic" and "in order". Some people are exploring everything, every dialogue and every box, other's are rushing through things very quickly. Whatever feels right to a different players. But you are somewhere in the middle, which is very nice, that's how I like to play also. 🙂BTW Shadowheart has some strong spells like Guiding Bolt or Inflict Wounds - try to use them, she will do much more damage with these than with her weapon. Especially Inflict Wounds - it's a close spell, when you're next to the target and it's much better than weapon attack. 🙂

There is not a best rout, each decision equals a different story. You can play it 10 playthroughs and each one can be completely different
@bebemax952 ай бұрын
LOL yeah 17:30 was a glitch. Not sure if you know, but anytime you roll a 1 then its a "Critical Failure" so it always fails. And if you roll a 20 its a "Critical Success" which always wins. So if you had to roll a 99, you would realistically need to roll a 20 to succeed.
@Darth_Jafar2 ай бұрын
Been enjoying these man. Idk if anyone's pointed out, but spellcasting strength/effectiveness is based on specific abilities for each class. Bard, Paladins, Sorcerer, & Warlocks use Charisma. Clerics, Druids, & Rangers use Wisdom. And Wizards use Intelligence. So just keep that in mind for leveling up and stuff. The higher Shadowheart's Wisdom is or Higher Gale's Intelligence is, then the better for their spells.
@Fazolive2 ай бұрын
Thank you for the love and support fam and the helpful tips definitely will take heed!

@@Fazolive Sure thing man. Also on dialogue options if you click R3, it'll show you the bonus you'll get for every choice. So one dialogue option might show you'll get a +2, but another will show a +3 with Advantage.

I love how much you keep declaring your love for the game lol I have been listening and watching all day while doing chores. Even more funny as I also chose High Elf, Monk, Way of the 4 elements for my first playthrough and my first playthrough was extremely chaotic. There is just too much to see right? Enjoy there is a lot more fun to come

if you accidentally end your turn, you can cancel the end turn. idk what the button is for it on console though. oh and good job on knocking out Minthara. she's my favorite companion.

@TheLastCin For Ps5 to cancel "end turn", you just hold L2 then select the character and press Triangle again to cancel the end turn.

If you turn nearby light sources off, sneaking is much easier. And you're right about the spiders in the goblin camp. If you have talk to animals spell or a potion and can convince them, they'll help you kill the goblins.

I love seeing your progression! And I love seeing you discover new things and ways to do things. I get so hype when I see a new episode.
@morniclegreen35342 ай бұрын
1:47:48 so your character portrait in the bottom left will actually tell you if they are hidden or not! Before you hide in combat always make sure to first click r3 to see the red highlighted area. That shows you your enemies line of sight (works out of combat as well) and so you'll only be able to hide if you're not seen. For most characters hiding takes an action, though Astarion, being a rogue can also hide using a bonus action.
@mikecy55072 ай бұрын
You are improving alot, Fazo! When I watch new players, most don't understand how sneak attack (major damage boost) works. There are two methods. The first is typically the easier one. 1) Simply attack any enemy who's in melee range of one of your other companions. 2) Be hidden prior to attacking. Hiding for rogues usually a bonus action, so if not hidden at the start of turn, find a dark spot (or a spot where no enemies are facing), move over there, hide with bonus action, then sneak attack. Or, at the end of a turn, run over to a dark/unseen area and hide with bonus action. At the start of the next turn, they'll be hidden and can sneak attack, then hide again. Rinse, repeat. Two notes: 1) If you ever click "Hide" and the rogue crouches down, then immediately stands up, you failed the hiding check and weren't able to hide successfully because some enemy spotted you. 2) If your rogue and fighter appear next to each other in the turn order at the top of the screen, even if the fighter is technically going second after the rogue, you can click on the fighter and have them go first, so they can run up to an enemy and take a swing. Then when they end their turn, the rogue will be all set up to make a sneak attack! Pretty useful.

i just had my Honor mode run end in act 3. As brutal as that was to have happen I still love this game. So just wanted to say, I just found your playthrough yesterday so I've binged quite a bit. Your's is the only playthrough i've actually watched from the start, with no skipping. It's been great watching your D&D skills grow. I loved in your first episode where you asked if this was like Dungeons & Dragons. My first playthrough was as a monk as well.... the way of the open fist is a BEAST of a subclass. I can't wait to see when the systems become second nature to you and your build starts really thumping. You're going to love it. I've really enjoyed watching this run. Can't wait for me.

Just another piece of advice, Fazo. In big battles, it's often best to wipe out as many enemies (potential damage sources) each turn as possible. That means focusing on the weakest mobs first, leaving the bosses/tougher guys for later rounds. If your whole team focuses on the big boss, and it takes you two or three rounds to kill them, all the little mobs scattered everywhere get to do damage to your party while the boss has your attention. Instead, make it your goal clear out 2-4 potential damage sources each turn, and the fight will get progressively easier and easier round by round. I've finished the game 10+ times, and I can't think of examples where the "wipe the weak" strategy will lead you astray.
@stephenanderson33812 ай бұрын
Sarevok gets a big buff for every one of the weaker enemies you kill in act 3. And I feel like Balthazar should alo be focused down before the weaker undead because he hastes himself.
@mikecy55072 ай бұрын
@@stephenanderson3381 Balthazar a good example, yes, but I typically fight him where you initially meet him. Still, it seems like a good idea to take him out ASAP. What makes a difference, too, is that later on in the game your party is powerful enough to take out the main boss in the first turn. My original comment is more geared towards early game situations where it's gonna take you 2-3 turns to take out the boss.

You got this. little hints to help but never going to rip on you The learning curve for D&D is long but its cool. One thing you might want to keep in mind is when an enemy Summons a creature to fight, you can get both if you kill the caster first, the summoned creature will POP away. and you might want to keep in mind that you can throw things that explode or do other damage. and you can send things from one party member to another in battle if you open up group inventory on your party's moves. It will not count as a move or action unless you try to equip items in a fight. hope this helps.

2:14:40 -- Just so you know bro, there are a couple side quests you missed that would have led to other outcomes here. Not saying its a bad thing, but maybe in future playthroughs you can figure out the different ways this could have turned out. This game has so many secrets. All i can say is to explore every inch of the map. Its easy to miss a lot of content lol.

There are many choices you make in this game. You can kill or knock out Minthara. If you knock her out, you will meet her later. There you can save her and add her to your team. Her story is quite sad, but she is a powerful ally. But like many of the allies in this game, they can go good or bad, depending on YOUR choices and how you behave to them.
