I mean, a huge part of him as a character is how his own father inspired him and the good relationship they had when he was younger; he has a great role model to look back on (or actively consult, if certain actions are taken) when it comes to being a father figure. Astarion: Okay, kind of unimaginable. I'm not sure a vampire can do that (in this universe), and I don't think he'd adopt, either. Gale: Absolutely insufferable. Constantly bragging about how his kid can already cast third-level enchantment spells and judging teachers' assignments and lessons for not being rigorous enough. That being said, he'd be caring and supportive and not actually a _bad_ parent, just an _annoying_ one.

If he ascends, he plans to create tons of vampire spawn as an army of sorts. If he doesn't, he spitballs the idea of maybe being the leader of all the pre existing vampires (a lot of which he caused to be turned indirectly) and looking after them in the Underdark. A lot of which are literally children, so, adoption!

This is nothing like the creation kit and deep level modding and content restoration is not fully possible. The dialgoue exists but that doesn't account for animation and quest strings which can only be manipulated, not added or replaced.

A whole lot of the content is already there, it just needs to be re-implemented. In other Divinity games, patches, Enhanced Editions and ultimately Definitive Editions added a crapload of content, often including extra characters and classes. (so Paladins actually choosing a deity to swear their oath to, which was cut earlier in development, may come back too) And since the game sales are doing so well, they probably have some breathing room to bring Baldur's Gate 3 from being 70% of the best game made to date, to being that 100%. The silly thing is that even that 70% still probably is the best game made to date. Even Patch 1 was enough to remove much of the criticism people had about Act 3. Now imagine a few more patches and then a big one that already re-adds a bunch of content followed by Enhanced and Definitive editions that add everything they want to add. I had my fun with the game in 2 playthroughs and quit both before the actual end, simply because I didn't want it to end and will wait for the Definitive editions to round everything out. They already got my money anyway.

@@wei270 you just agree with the goblins or use illithid on them in the camp, talk to minthara, dont attack the grove and help halsin in bear form downstairs in the goblin camp and you can recruit her in act 2 in the tower jail if you kill the torturers. Halsin will stay at camp and you get minthara tho i did accidentaly kill everyone in the groveearly on so idk if that made her recruitable or not

I really really really hope Larian will not leave us hanging like this. I hope Minthara and especially Karlach!!!! Gets justice in a later patch. Its obvious Larian is very passionate about the game and Im sure they cut content out of desperation. I just hope the massive success doesn't go to their head and they will actually give us what we want and fix Mintharas and Karlachs story as well as all the other issues in act 3. I imagine something along the lines of “you know that shrewd companion of yours? The one who never throws my ball? Well, she smells… off. I think she’s having pups.” This is mostly based of the fact that dogs have such a keen smell they can somehow sense tumors if trained properly, so a drastic change like pregnancy would definitely be noticeable to them, if not because of hormonal changes then because of changes in behavior. Especially to an intelligent and keen sensed breed as Swiss Shepards (what Scratch probably is). Hell, he’d probably know before she did, somewhere in act 2.

Since I'm playing a Drow Female Cleric of Lloth in my play I saved and recruited her. This has me thinking, "Ok who is the daddy?" If it gets put back in later and your char (if male) could be the daddy I'm so going have to do a second play where I recruit her lol.

Judging by what Astarion said looks like she was already pregnant when we meet her. Which makes the decision of choosing between the grove and killing her even more horrible. Although I wonder how it would impact in a playthrough if a male Tav/Durge was the father.

If only we can get Minthara without having to attack the Druid Grove. She can have her redemption arc. If this happens, we can get some funny interaction between Minthara and the rest of the party. She's definitely become best friend with Lae'zel because they can be clueless and funny at the same time. Also, love seeing Karlach offered herself to become Minthara child's godmother.

I was told that one of drow centric splatbooks that came during later 4e (early 5e?) depicted drow pregnancy in far more detail that one would wish to know. So yeah. Drow fetus battle royale. And AFAIK that was not even the worst thing in that book.

You can recruit both if you ignore the tiefling vs. goblin issue. Tieflings get slaughtered, Karlach won't be able to fix her engine, but you can keep her and Wyll around with Minthara.

@@ChrisD3310 Do keep in mind you cannot fix Karlach if you do this, since Dammon won't make it to Act 2 since it's thought that he and the rest of the tieflings die on the way to the safe haven in act 2. You may be able to recruit both but doing so means you cannot romance Karlach and her end is as good as doomed.

They cut it due to how they would have had to limit this dialogue to the male sex and on top of that certain races since not all races can reproduce with elfs.

After that you can go back to Act 1 and talk to Halsin and ask him to heal the cursed land so he will go to Act 2 in the Lats light inn

it's not glitched to just skip the quest. it's the intended neutral option. sheepthara is a workaround lol but just not killing the goblin leaders and moving on to act 2 is entirely intended.
