Also, Elven Chain really should be one of those "add your full dexterity modifier to AC".

Another good early game bow option is the Bow of the Banshee. It has a chance to inflict Frightened on hit, making it decent CC all game, and attacking Frightened targets gives it 1d4 to damage and attack rolls. Even late game I find myself gravitating towards it for some builds, it's pretty solid overall.
