Nancy is very endearing. I hardly ever hit like buttons but she greets you and thanks you. So, it's the key of hitting the like button for me.

Thank you for taking us along! On our TA cruise we had the pleasure of having our server from Bali, they are such gentle people! Love how you are doing a sampler cruise, tour to see where you might like to return. It has been wonderful for us to tag along to see where we might like to visit next.

The rice paddies were beautiful but I would take a pass on the monkeys. Two interesting statues that I noticed. I really like the dog? At the entrance to the coffee farm. And there were three ladies as statues at the monkey place . The middle lady was very interesting. Stay safe.

Glad that you liked Bali. It’s about 6 and a half hours flying from Melbourne. We didn’t think much of the Luwak coffee. The rice fields are beautiful. But the traffic from Ubud terrible. It’s our go to stop for a cheap holiday.

Last February we spent 3 weeks touring New Zealand then flew to Melbourne and overnighted. The next day we flew to Denpasar and spent 3 amazing nights in the lovely Grand Hyatt. We hired a guide and he took us to all the same places minus the jewelry stop. He also included a beautiful waterfall and the name has escaped me. What a lovely place to visit . This March we got to cruise around your amazing country of Australia and made sure to get back to Melbourne and we added 3 awesome days to our trip. I sure love Australia. BTW we are from San Diego and if it wasn’t such a long trip I would do it again in a heartbeat! Cheers!!

We are Australians and travel twice a year to Bali We spend time in beautiful Ubud and then mix it up with a stay on the beach in Sanur. Great combo if you come back . Can't stand monkeys though 😩

The power lines in Bali always make me thankful for underground power. You can do a class to make your own silver jewellery. Takes me 3.5hrs from Perth Western Australia. Full massage is so cheep. Ubud is lovely you need a few days, but if you are disabled be aware that it is very hilly and uneven pavement. Ubud has the most amazing birth centre and is run by an American Midwife. Ubud has lots of yoga studios and health retreats. Products are more expensive in Ubud than in Kuta. Nusa Dua and Sansur are the quieter areas and Kuta side of Bali is more touristy and busy. I travelled around for two weeks staying in different hotels and my most recent trip was just staying at the one hotel. I preferred staying 2-3 days in each area. I always take travelan (cow colostrum) with each meal to prevent Bali belly and always drink bottled water. Ice is safe in hotels and restaurants as it is now regulated. If you don’t like to be hassled with street vendors then go to Nusa Dua as they are very strict in this area (conference area). I walked to and from my conference and never was bothered by street vendors. Then I moved to Kuta and was bombarded. You learn quickly to say no Thankyou and do not make eye contact until you really want to buy something. I waited a day or two before I started to buy things as I wanted to look around and get prices of things first. If any medical/nurse/midwives are visiting, you should see if they are running a medical/hospital tour. Mine was amazing, I got to go to the public hospitals (locals), private (expat/tourists), birthing centres, women’s clinic in the markets. It was so interesting and I will always be grateful I got to experience a little taste of health care in Bali.

If you want extreme tourism ( marijuana, sex, etc. ) come to Thailand, but if you want cultural, religious, spiritual tourism, come to Bali, every tourist spot in the world has its own characteristics, so you can't compare 'apples to apples' between one place and another. 😁
@livingphase2
@livingphase2 8 ай бұрын
That is true. It is difficult to compare apples to oranges with all of the places that we visit.

Bali was a great disappointment to me , dirty and congested. The people are wonderful but they are loosing their country to foreigners and too many tourists.
@livingphase2
@livingphase2 8 ай бұрын
What we found is during this trip around the world you quite often have to look past some of that and sometimes even dig a little to find the beauty that was special in the place before all the tourists came. Unfortunately we say this is tourists. 😌
