That flap works pretty good!!! We pulled a round baler behind a 4430 years ago. We Tedder raked everything to make more even windrows... Sometimes they'd be too fluffy, so we'd take a four wheeler out with a 100 gallon sprayer on wide tires, run one tire down the window to flatten it out... Your flap is better, no messing around 😎

Three by threes... Don't see many of them around here.. I know of two west of the Cascades, one is near Battleground, Washington and the other is near Carlton, Oregon... The one in Carlton is new, the one in Battleground is their old one... Otherwise, almost everything else is 3×4s... That's what the presses are set up for, for export. We are an exception, 4×4.... Only one I know of here.. (lots of 4×4s in Idaho. Quite a few 3×3s in eastern Oregon) I've thought about 3×3, but the 4×4 covers the ground so much faster. As always Andy, thanks for another great video!!! We're waiting for the rain tomorrow, hopefully it isn't much.. got combining to do!

How often is Jared shearing flywheel pins? Reason I ask is we have 2 100 balers and on one of them the flywheel became just a little sloppy on the input shaft and it was just enough that it would shear the pin way too often. Had to take it to a machine shop have it bored and a new sleeve/bush put into it. Might push on the top of the flywheel with the shear pin out and see if it has a little shimmy.

It's amazing the JD 4620 has less than half the HP of the JD 7290R yet the speed from that combination is walking all over the JD 7290R Case baler combo, the reason why is the JD 100 baler was actually manufactured by Krone which makes the best big balers in the world!
@robertlonsdale3826
@robertlonsdale3826 5 жыл бұрын
That,s because the JD (Krone) baler is putting about half as much in a bale, they were notorious for poor bale density

@@robertlonsdale3826 Do some research the Case big balers are basically duplicates of the New Holland big balers, also the LB333 is the smaller baler of the Case big baler range LB 334 80 x 90 x 275 bale size number of knives 19, LB 434 XL 120 x 90 x 275 bale size number of knives 29, oconnorscaseih.com.au/our-products/brands/case-ih/case-ih-lb4-series/ Also when you watch the video you can see the bales coming out of the JD 100 baler are tighter and better formed bales, why don't you ask Wes Pandy onelonelyfarmer what he thinks of Krone balers compared to his many new Holland big balers that he use to own? The bale density of Krone balers is well known globally! @@heyhey1956 I don,t needn to do any research, i,ve sold dozens of New Holland balers over the years and apart from being superior in performance to Krones they also don,t self distruct like the latest Krones fitted with vfs I get asked all the time by dealers if I will take their Krone trade ins because they are virtually unsaleable secondhand
