City Center Encores did it a few years ago. It's a really fun show tailored to Phil Silvers' personae. The ballet, which begins the second act, is absolutely hilarious.

And the little girl with the tambourine was Sondra Lee, who later originated the roles of Tiger Lily in PETER PAN and Minnie Fay in HELLO, DOLLY!
