Is this a parlor palm? Also called a Chamaedorea elegans If yes i have a lovely one that does well in lower light and is not as big as yours but still good sized Mine gets tap water and worm castings and i use liquid fertilizer in the growing season

I looked and it is my mistake your palm is not a parlor palm but i like it. I will keep an eye out. The scientific name is Chamaedorea seifrizii

You water it a bit more in the sun and a bit less when it’s inside. Can you expand on “a bit”?

When outside there higher levels of evaporation as well as the plant consumes alot more water in more light. If you notice tou can water a plant outdoors one day and the next say it's dry. That's not really the case indoors
