I believe this is the fastest benchy on any Bambu Lab printer to date. This is a highly modified Bambu Lab X1C printing at very high speeds to test the limits of its motion system. Please do not do this to your machine as it bypasses Gcode defined machine limits and may void your warranty and cause serious damage and/or personal injury. I have provided a download to the 3MF file to have you see it for yourself.
Based on the ‪@BambuLab‬ A1 Mini profile: makerworld.com...
Took some inspiration from some of ‪@LiamRay10‬ profiles like borrowing the A1 Mini Profile, seam optimizations, and pushing the extruder closer to its limits (something I neglected to do previously).
Print Profile: drive.google.c...
Use the print profile at your own risk!
Mods done:
Dual Auxiliary fans
3rd party CHT hotend (TZ 3.0)
Actively heated chamber (not necessary for speed boats though)
Dual 48 watt ceramic hotend heaters.
Actively cooled stepper motors
Nanocoated extruder gears
Software Alterations:
X1Plus Custom Firmware (1.1rc): github.com/X1P...
Commanded 2 amp stepper currents for A and B steppers
Commanded 1 amp stepper currents for Z

Ya it's doing it but fuck that looks rough. Sadly it's almost on par with my 1 hour benchy on my ender 3

We'll be seeing two things in the next 5 years - speeds like this for built-in benchy's becoming normalized, and IR/chamber sensors to pause printing when someone sticks a hand in the chamber or opens the door, lol. that would seriously hurt if that print head hit ya lol. nice vid, cool mods!

can you give the link to what nozzle you got for your X1C? i want to try this for myself at a slightly less extreme level.

It is an Aliexpress TZ 3.0 hotend with 2 ceramic heaters wired in parallel.

I printed the Benchy. It took me 5 hours. You did it almost 60 times faster. What is your print speed set at? Mine is set at 40mm per minute and layer height .15mm

You can print with good detail at like 250-300mm/s

Print speeds set at 750mm/sec and 38,000mm/s/s acceleration.

@@tommie2928 I'm working my way up. I'm trying 80 mm/s right now. I haven't set my acceleration yet, but I know the Fokoos Odin 5 I have tops out at about 3750mm/s/s. I'm still figuring all of this out. I just started printing a few days ago. It'd be nice to get to 250mm/s.

@@DuckyWhy That's incredible. Moore's Law may apply to 3D printing. In a year, we'll be printing quality usable prints at that speed.

With the current settings do tou see detail loss just curious what nozzle your running
@DuckyWhy
@DuckyWhy 5 ай бұрын
I think the detail loss more has to do with the input shaping than the stepper current, the stepper current just allows for the motors to provide more torque. hotend is a modded 3rd party hotend with a CHT nozzle.

Can you share me the print setting preset please? I wonder how hot the stepper motor is

3MF project is in the video description, the steppers dont get that warm because they are actively cooled.

where i get the Actively cooled stepper motors ? thanks

That was mostly DIY, with just some fans and some heatsinks. Just slapped them onto the existing steppers.

probably not anytime soon lol, their hardware is fully custom and cant easily be modded or replaced with something else for that to happen.

That's the point. It's not an attempt at a normal print, instead pushing the machine as hard as possible just to see how far it can go.
