Chris, I'm new to 3d printing but have been following it since about the year 2000! I bought a bambu p1s about 6 weeks ago and love this channel. You've helped me understand my printer so much. The printer is awesome and I've even learned tinkercad to do some 3d modeling of my own for things I need.

Hey!! That’s so awesome to hear about your printer. Thanks so much for the kind words and support. I’m super glad I’ve been able to help you out. Don’t hesitate to reach out if hit a road block.

Thank you! This was most helpful. I had a print that was failing, because the designer made an amazing single piece item that had some things that would print as overhangs, if printed flat. But the angle he had it sitting at had insufficient support, so it would sometimes fall. I was able to use this info to beef up and add some additional support, so the print succeeds.

10:00 this one was pretty obvious indeed, but it actually shows the precentages in the legend. You went from 21% to 10%, backing up your claims ;-) Same with 12:10 you went from 29% to 20,5%, pretty significant. Cleanup might be worse though, so it's not just amount of support I guess? You mentioned that and I agree (in all of my 1 month knowledge) that by turning it you move the "ugly spots" of the less visible sides, so a total win-win :) Thanks for the video!!

Once again you offer the most comprehensive tutorial on how to use a specific function in a specific software package. Thank you thank you thank you. I would buy/take a "course" from you if you offered it. I think your style of teaching is very effective. Create a syllabus and rake in the cash!!! :)

One thing I think needs addressing in your excellent presentation, and that it the "Auto-Orient" function found on the left side of the control strip. It may solve many of the questions surrounding the best orientation for each item on the bed or minimally be easier for newbies to manage. It would be interesting to do a comparison and see how it stands up to manual orientations.

As a new Bambu user (P1S) who is fairly new to 3D printing in general, these videos have been absolutely invaluable in learning the software and how to work with it. I've watched each on the TV with OneNote open on my laptop, taking extensive notes. One thing I hope you'll cover in the next video: Infill. Bambu has a huge number of infill options, and I know that some are better for speed, others for strength, but which ones and when has been really tough to figure out. A video similar to your support options video would be an excellent addition to this series.

Just excellent! I bought a dozen STLs (that I think was positioned for a resin printer? - I have a Bambu X1C) and the "native" positioning seemed very odd and some of my prints were awful. Your tips help a lot (although some STLs will still need a lot of delicate prep work.).

Congratulations! You're my favorite 3d printing how-to channel! Also, not sure if something changed in your audio gear, but your audio sounded more boomy and had some harshness with a tight echo, like sound was bouncing off of hard walls. Your previous video audio sounded much cleaner. Either way, great vid and congrats again!

Thanks for all the tips, great channel. Are you able to help with removing supports in Bambu Studio when it is difficult to orientate the object so the support surface to be removed cannot be seen. I have a number of instances where I can see the general area the supports will be added, but when I edit the object, I cannot rotate the object without another part of the object getting in the way (I hope that makes sense).

Thank you for the instruction. It has been a valuable way for me to learn to use the Bambu Lab 3d printer and slicer. Is there a way to customize the BRIM? I am trying to print a model where only one small area 2-3 mm is not adhering to the print bed. The small area repeatedly "breaks" off from the bed and model, but the rest of the model adheres well.

Thanks for a great video. Very informative and well organized. I have a 200 mm tall print with a window where the thinner side is moving a bit towards the end of the print. The slicer generates a tree support for the upper horizontal part of the window but not the thin leg. I painted the leg to draw a support, but the slicer ignored it. Too bad I can't upload a picture because it would save my poor efforts to describe the issue. If I change to Normal supports, then it looks like it solves my issue. However, it prints a lot more supports and takes an additional 30 minutes to print. Any thoughts on a solution?

videos are great, but i do have a question. I've downloaded a bambu design that when opening up it already has supports in the diagram and I can't seem to remove them. So is there any way I can remove the already existing supports? (file is the wireless mouse components kit-002)

Hi Chris, You talked about Manually Adding and Removing Supports, but never showed any of us ((How To Do It). The Current Version of Bambu Studio as of 12/24 is 1.10.01.5. I have watched your Video 3 times and Adding and Removing Supports does NOT Work for me. So what I am having to do is bring my STL File into Flash Print Slicer, Add or Remove Supports, Save the STL File, then bring it into Bambu Studio. Could you please do a Detailed Video on just (How to Manually Add and Remove Supports) for us? Thank you very much.

I think since most supports are single wall thickness you could probably increase the walls on supports in your slicer. That might help. Just an idea🤷
