Funnily enough, Bambu decided to skip using stepper drivers and control the steppers directly from the MCU, because it was cheaper. But, this has allowed them to do stuff like this, since everything is software defined. It played out nicely in the end.

Have you by any chance noticed any changes in print quality? I'm curious if this helps with the infamous VFA issue or vertical banding at lower print speeds (

i printed a benchy and a calibration cube last night on the p1s after it completed its update and calibration and have to say both looked flawless or at least less flawed than before if that makes sense - they had really smooth sides and sharp corners - i cant say the update caused any issues anyway

I just noticed a new icon option, under the light icon, for AMS does it permit to configure filament just like in X1C ??

So i just checked and the AMS option on the printer only allows you to reset the AMS ID Other options available on the printers screen now include "Accessories" which allows you to select the nozzle type installed and an option to select whether or not you have an official enclosure kit installed or not

I'm really confused now because everybody's been telling me to get the A1 or the mini because of how quiet they are, if I want to have the printer on my main desk where i work/study/game the P1S would sound like a Boeing 737 taking off. Is it necessary to have the fans on at all or just when printing with certain types of filament? I do prefer the P1S' style and enclosure with the sleek AMS, however the noise was a real deal breaker for me. Thanks for your help :)

Can you run it with PLA continuously with the top lid closed? Is it the most silent then? I assume you have to run the chamber fan then.

@@Kenprints What was the then rationale to sell them? And do resell buyers have no problems with Bambu Lab support/warranty in case of a problem with a resold printer that is less than 12 months old?
@Kenprints7 ай бұрын
@Tome4kkkk similar to someone trading in a car after 12 months of ownership - machines are still in great useable condition but have mainly paid for themselves - i upgrade to brand new ones and someone gets a good deal on a used one - warranties would all be up on the 3 that were sold at this stage or very close i would say - also if anyone that purchased one had any issues i would assist if needed - incl my previous sale which was the a1 and the following day they announced the cable bed issue - i offered them their money back which they declined and instead i put the claim through for their replacement bed and gave them the 120 voucher also so they did well 😂
@MrKlawUK10 ай бұрын
whats the best balance of noise - eg if you open the top/door can you reduce chamber fan speeds or does the open door mean more noise escapes than it saves? The fans seem way louder than the A1 but there are more of them so maybe makes sense.

So, it allows you to turn off parts cooling fan. Does that affect the quality of the print?
@Kenprints Жыл бұрын
you always could turn off parts cooling fan as far as I'm aware this just cancels out the noise of the print head moving around which has decreased the noise a lot - I would guess the P1P model gains best from this as it only has the parts cooling fan anyway whereas the P1S has the AUX fan and chamber fan and the cooling fan on the main board also
