Question: How come you didn't go with a V-tail mix for the tail? I read one person's recommendation not to go with V tail mixing. I'm curious as to why? I understand that the rudder will have some serious roll coupling, but I'm not sure why you wouldn't go V tail setup to make the most of those flight surfaces.

During early flight tests , they has curious handling characteristiques , they had to fine tune through speed variant tail movement and flap assist in particular manoeuver,,

Theres a guy who built a larger 1/10 scale twin glow ducted fan version then converted it to turbine. He used to work on the YF-23. If you were to take this foamy model and lay it over drawings of the same size, how scale would you think it would be? I ask because the fellow who built the big one had to add I believe 11lbs of weight to the nose to balance it simply due to the design of the plane. So I am curious to how "scale" this foamy version is. Thanks

I flew mine this weekend and it is fast and hard to see horizontally. It is a solid plane and very durable with solid steel landing gear. It is probably better land it on well trimmed grass. It is the only LX model that is worth it weight so far.

Its even harder to film or take pictures of:) It is stealthy in every way! LX is improving a lot, mostly the paint and landing gear are much better... In fact I can say that the gear on this thing is excellent. The B-25 is very good with a few Tweaks. It should be interesting to see the new F-4 Phantom, It looks very good so far.

Just looking for thoughts on Banana Hobbies. I have read so many complaints regarding them regards to Customer service, broken components, wrong orders, re-packaged obviously used merchandise, incredibly lapse communication regardless whether it is phone, email or live chat. what experience have you had with them?

I have only experienced a long wait for a part about 4 years ago... Otherwise they seem to be vastly improving. I don't think they are having any of the old issues. If you should have any problems with them please let me know.

When you take off you put full flaps in and when you land only one flap down?

Normally you have 3 flap positions. Flaps zero, a takeoff setting and a landing setting. The takeoff setting would be something like 5 or 10 degrees. landing would be like 15 or 20, depending on the model. These settings can be more depending on the plane.

RCINFORMER I just wondered if the “science” or theory behind it would say it would handle similarly or if an unmanned version would because I know the software in them holds them back for the pilots sake. Cool video and rc plane tho

If I compared it with others models in the same league from you like the Raptor, mig , F-117 and others this one looks way more agile and especially fast it hauled ass , maybe it’s the pilots, most of the others models I’ve seen flights it was a small dude with funny hats, but would be surprise if it was the pilots because this one really looks faster by far

The plane america should have bought and still should , love the black widow 2 they claim just a little less manuevrability but a lityle less that but could hang with the j20 or pak 50 in speed this plane was truly superiour

The latest version from LX has 12 blade fans in it-this was the original v1 of the plane.

Most EDF jest fly for 3 to 5 minutes... The fans in this model may be more efficient than the older versions. So it may fly longer now:)

I’m not a pilot but from what I’ve seen the F-23 look way more stables and faster then the F-22 raptor. Now that’s in the RC world anyway in the real world I just don’t know if it’s the same anyway as for myself just by looking at video on the net I’m really beginning to have the crush on thoses realistic jets and I think that before long I’m going to learn to fly 🤪🤪🤪🤪👍👍👍

What I read about it a few years ago was that Northrop wanted to take thefabrication of the F23 itself in it,s shops, while Lockeed offered to spread the production to many subcontractors,,, more jobs at many places. . wich ended up in a nightmare at assembly. . .. . Higher costs and fewer planes. .

I love how Northrop has spread so much crap. The yf-22 supercruised at Mach 1.5. The F-22 cruises 1.87. The yf-23 was Mach 1.7. The f-22 is completely redesigned from the yf-22. They made it faster and rcs smaller. Also because they made it lighter. Moved the intake cockpit etc. but Northrop made a plane that was way too expensive. Today it would cost 50-100million more than the f-22. Northrop is all about money. Lockeed at the time was about on time under budget. This was the old skunkworks. Northrop had to have a lot more sense and know the gov picks the lowest bidder not the best equipment. They chose to make the best equipment to show off instead of getting the contract. Anybody with any sense knows the gov just won’t pick a jet that cost that much more than the competitions bid. That’s the purpose is to get the most bang for the buck. Northrop chose to not care about money which is suicidal when doing gov contracts. You have to be extremely arrogant to do that
