I have never seen sour cream added to quick breads, but it probably adds a bit of contrast to the sugar and adds some fluffiness to the bread. I would definitely add chopped walnuts nuts. It adds texture and your loaf isn't too dense. Thank you again for another great tutorial!

I made banana bread this morning using your recipe. The only difference is that I pressed in some chopped walnuts on the tops of the loaves before baking. They came out delicious, and thanks for sharing!❤ By the way, I don't like too brown or hard-crusted nut breads either and covered the top with a sheet of aluminum foil after 30 minutes. They came out a little more brown than yours look but they're still OK.

Hi, Tallie Fay! You are my favorite channel to go to for recipes! I love your home cooked southern recipes. I have a question. Can you do a video on caring for cast iron pans? Some people say to wash cast iron in soapy water and some people say never to put in soapy water. How about seasoning skillets? Can I use Crisco instead of bacon grease? Thank you so much. Makes it taste so good and helps preserve it too. We make banana bread brownies with browned butter icing. I like walnuts in banana bread, but sometimes no nuts at all. Just found your channel a couple of weeks ago 😊.Yum! I’m going to try your recipe-I saved this video. My recipe does not include sour cream or self-rising flour (it calls for all purpose flour.) One suggestion: toast the walnuts in order to bring out their flavor.

You need 2cups of mashed bananas (at least 3 large) If you don’t have self rising flour you can use 2cups all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon bkg soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt

If you haven’t tried this it’s an absolute must. Slice your banana nut bread thicker than you normally would then butter both sides and throw it in a skillet and brown both sides. TO DIE FOR!!❤❤❤❤

My mind works is mysterious ways. I’m about OCD so I just had to say/ask. I noticed the watch on your left arm but it’s upside down. You don’t really tell time from that position do you. Lol. I love banana stuff (bananas, banana pudding, banana cream pie, banana cake w/ banana icing, banana ice cream, etc.), but for some reason, I'm just not a fan of banana bread, or at least the way it's normally made. I know it's made well, like I'm sure you made it well here, but I just don't enjoy it. Now, if you add some chocolate chips/chunks, or if it's a chocolate banana bread, I'm all over that stuff. I don't really understand it, but it's how I've always been (and believe me my mother tried to get me to like it because she didn't understand it either). Appreciate you taking us through this recipe, and I really hope you feel better soon. I'm more central Texas, and I know we've got some serious allergy stuff going on around here.
