Banana Puto

Banana puto is an easy snack which you can make with leftover table bananas. You can make different variations like chocolate chips, cheese, carrots and raisins. It requires no special tools/equipment and very minimal culinary skills as long as you can follow the instructions. Good luck!
Chef's Notes:
1. Every time you have leftover table bananas, put them in the freezer instead of throwing them out.
2. Before using the frozen bananas, make sure that you thaw them out completely before adding it to the mixture.

Yes you can use premium margarine. This recipe was made for use with table bananas like lakatan or cavendish.

Yes Ma'am. You can use evaporated milk instead of water. The puto will be a bit heavier but will be creamier and tastier. I suggest you use half water and half evaporated milk instead. Thank you for watching!

You can't call it puto if you bake it. It becomes a cupcake. This recipe has too much baking powder for baking since this was made for steaming. You can try.

I use cavendish bananas which we call bonggan in Cebu. Lakatan will also do but cavendish is more fragrant.
