Alrighty… well, I need to know how this is done 😂. Awesome as always Sean

@@josephlambert849 I think the mischievous chuckle at the end was Sean enjoying that no-one would discern the method. 😆 I hope he does explain it to us, but there's something to be said for those "silver bullet" tricks you hold back until the moment is perfect, too. The ones you wouldn't reveal to anyone outside the fraternity.

Awesome trick. This version did indeed have a minor setup. The two red aces were on the top of the deck to start and were maintained there throughout the tabled riffle shuffle. Other than that I got nothin!

Here is my guess. The aces were likely kept near or at the bottom of the deck. While performing the faro shuffle, it appeared that you were focusing on the shuffle, but at the same time, you were watching the 7, since you could see all the cards from your angle. You quickly made a break at the 7 and shuffled it between the two ace

Ok this one really is BANANAS. Amazing effect, Sean! Quick question on this, if you don't mind - how does this play for lay audiences vs for magicians? I wouldn't consider myself to be a layman, but this one absolutely fried me!

Is this it? First you controlled the selected card to the bottom of packet A idk how tho (it looked like a slight jog when you put it down but that's probably not it) Then with packet B you had a pinky brake above the two aces, so when you overhand shuffled they both went to the bottom of the deck And at the end you just put the bottom card from packet A (selected card) between the two bottom cards of packet B(the aces)
@SeanDevine2 ай бұрын
Well, that could work if you just did it in your own hands! But the person really can shuffle their card back in!

There is something similar in 'Magic Tricks, Card Shuffling and Dynamic Computer Memories' by Brent Morris. But the shuffling wasn't as fair as that. As I said below, you just kicked my ass.

I have a couple of ideas that could work, but I hate being the guy in the comments trying to be the “smartest guy” in the room. But if it’s not the method I’m thinking, then it’s definitely given me something to work on this weekend

@@SeanDevine if it were me, I’d edge mark the cards. That way when the card was selected and returned, all you have to do is turn the card around and you would know exactly where it was. Almost like a stripper card or a “1 way” deck principle It would be easy to spot where the card was in the middle of the deck when you do the faro shuffle The two sandwich cards were face up in the middle of the deck, also reversed, so even in the middle you would be able to know where the sandwich cards and the selection was at
@bertmcinnes12432 ай бұрын
