Acoustic music, done right, has a very special charm. And that is absolutely the case here. The ladies lovelier than ever, the ambience, Saikis and Mikus vocals, the sound, the choice of songs.... For me, this whole performance is simply breathtakingly good from start to finish. With every release since I've been following these ladies, they only reinforce what has been true for me for quite some time now: BAND-MAID 4 Ever. _____________________ 【 _Our rock never dies ever. I did see the entire concert, its amazing how they did this song, Different, NO God and others you would think would be impossible acoustically but they pulled it off. Kanami did things I didnt think were possible with an acoustic. Yeah no maid outfits, they explain it. They tease Miku calling her cluppo, she later explains its Kobato time. And One with Just Saiki, Akane playing a cajón and just Miku on guitar.

Acoustic shows the beautiful side of Band-Maid. I love this song but love it a bit more in the acoustic. The slower allows the true beauty of Saiki and Miku and Kanamincho's voices to come through. Thank you for reacting to this video.

You're one of a very few reactors who had the original song to compare to. The music was sooo good but I must say that the concert belongs to the bass. I think Saiki had her wear red to emphasize her. Misa proved she is one of the best today. This is one of my favorite songs by Band-Maid. The original version has one of the coolest riffs I've heard. This version is so different yet has the same vibe. The ladies revealed the reason for the Conqueror album during their Commentary video. They felt that their existing songs (before Conqueror) were fast paced which worked up the crowd. However, some of their concerts were in very hot venues and some of the fans suffered from heat exhaustion. The ladies too were affected. They were afraid that someone could get hurt or die while dancing to a fast song. There are fan cam videos out there that show the ladies making comments on how hot the stage was. They decided to make an album of "medium" speed songs so that they could incorporate these slower songs in their concert setlist. These songs provided opportunity to rest . The Shibuya concert on Blu Ray is a great example of how they were able to do a 22 song concert with some of their more energetic songs at the end, because they incorporated many slower songs from Conqueror. As a matter of fact, Conqueror is like a Greatest Hits album. I can't understand those who dislike it.

Miku sings a lot of harmonies for this show, and more than you think probably on their standard versions. The vocals sounded SO good on this whole show, since they didn't have to strain to sing over the electrics. Saiki just melts you where you stand.
@armynurseboy2 жыл бұрын
Miku sings harmonies all the time, it's just harder to hear on standard versions due to the wall of sound coming your way. Easier to hear in acoustic setting as the sound is stripped back more.
@cactustactics2 жыл бұрын
Yeah when you listen she's definitely singing a lot of harmonised lines, or even just little bits where she shifts a note differently compared to Saiki - I think it just might be more obvious in the mixing now (and also getting live clips where they're performing older songs)

Great work as always, Champ! In your first Band-Maid reaction people told you that "Domination" was an average song for them and you couldn't believe it. Well, I'd say that the changes in "Catharsis" is approximately the "average" in terms of transformations for this concert. At this point we're used to being impressed by Band-Maid, but what they did with some of the songs they played in this acoustic is among their most impressive work yet. I understand not wanting to film yourself watching it, but I hope you'll be able to share your thoughts on the acoustic one way or another. Your insight is very valuable to the Band-Maid community. Have a good one!

They picked red and beige for the outfits, red for Santa, beige for reindeer. One of my favorite parts of the concert is when Miku plays lead guitar and sings without Saiki and Kanami. Another highlight is the joy Kanami shows when she gets to do another song with Saiki.
@hernanuliana91112 жыл бұрын
One of my favorite little things in this concert is Misa's bass. Contrast with the usually beatifull Miku's guitar and the sober Kanami's guitar, that yellow five string bass looks like a veteran of many wars with it's paint falling and the spartan look. Like the first instrument you buy when the money it's really tight and you keep it in your heart forever because you learn so much with it. Maybe is a message from Misa to the fans "we are workers in this bussiness like you. Maybe above others in the quality of our music but all the sucess it's hard work not a creation of some powerful company".

Thanks, Champ! The original Mirage has always been one of my favs. I think it's extremely catchy, but has lots of little progressive elements that come out of nowhere and surprise you in the best way possible. The acoustic version is completely different--mostly calm and meditative--just a brilliant arrangement. BTW, Miku does harmonies in literally every Band-Maid song. But it's usually just thirds, with reinforcing octaves at times; and like you say, recently she's been branching out into more interesting harmonic sequences. Speaking of harmonies... well, just wait till you see the full performance!

I feel like the original chorus is such a blast of sound, the compression squashes things as usual and the rhythm feels like it's just ner-ner-ner-ner without any strong dynamics, and that's why it doesn't stand out - it's kinda just a nice melody. This version just grooves a lot more because you can hear what's going on better (Misa is what's going on) and it just flows real nice Thanks bud! Your videos are always worth watching, I love when people point out stuff they're hearing, sometimes it's like oh hey yeah!

Great job Champ, you are the only analyst who has decided to compare the two versions of the song, excellent. To strip down some songs of Conqueror can become in an outstanding outcome, but doing the same with some of their recent work (I´m not going to spoil) it´s something amazingly out of the box. Give yourself a good and relaxed moment to enjoy the acoustic. Worths it.

This song is one of their December 25th Christmas concerts. They played 14 songs in 75 minutes, changing combinations with 2 to 5 member. Tickets that can be viewed until March 25th are on sale on their official website. A 75-minute commentary video has been added to this ticket, and they have a fascinating conversation with English subtitles. You can watch it as many times as you like with anyone. Many fans want Blu-ray. They decided to wear reindeer-colored and red outfits for Christmas and for their fans. They were nervous with their outfits and they again felt that the maid outfits were rock live combat uniforms. (From the commentary video)

Saiki but also in the role it takes in songs from an accompaniment previously to proper lead and even the highlight in many of their recent performances.
