Also Freedom, which was the previous song before REAL EXISTENCE, and where Saiki was singing while standing on the fence, fell into the crowd and lost her shoes 😂 You can see that in REAL EXISTENCE she's barefoot on stage during the first half of the song. ZEPP Tokyo concert contains so many iconic moments... That battle between MISA and Kanami in Don't you tell ME... That intro to Turn me on, where MISA is just killing it with her bass... Acoustic Puzzle and "anemone"... Lots of stuff. 💪🤘🔥❤⭐

If the other members weren’t there to check up on her often to keep her grounded, she’d probably been crowd surfing all the time or something crazy.🤣

You usually notice small details, so I was surprised you didn't notice Saiki didn't have her shoes on until after the solo. There was an interesting version of Freedom right before it where Saiki lost her shoes and Miku had to sing the final chorus.

When MISA approaches Saiki 6:31, she's laughing at the fact that Saiki lost her shoes in the crowd towards the end of previous song (Freedom I think). Miku had to finish singing the song. She gets her heels back after the guitar solo in this one.

If I was Misa, barefoot on stage, I wouldn't go anywhere near Saiki in her stilettos. So when she takes advantage of the fact that she can get close to her on the stage for once is pretty funny.

Actually I came across a photo where you can see her shoes in the middle of the stage... she took them off to climb the fence, then came back and did the whole "REAL EXISTENCE" barefooted... but in "Choose Me" she is back on her high heels...

I think you would enjoy the reddit group of Band Maid. That's where the best translations are usually found (t-shinji is the kindest fan on the web, translating as much as he can for the rest of us). I speak spanish so I usually don't participate but it´s a incredibly dedicate group of fans. Proud of them.

The MV for Rinne is the best available on the internet and I'll echo what someone else said. Daydreaming, the most impactful solo and if you can get a hold of the live 2018 Zepp Tokyo then that would be the version of that one to do. The MV for it would be good enough if you can't.

Real Existence Live is a great one to play to somebody that's never heard them before - LOVE that song. So, on Rinne - do the MV, not the live one that cuts an entire verse. The MV is the best for a change for Rinne (Re-incarnation).

Miku's Imaginary Time is a staple of their concerts and is always hilarious. :D That back-and-forth with Misa is because Saiki got pulled into the crowd on the previous song and lost her shoe so during this time she is barefoot ... just like the Assassin. Guitar solos, tempo changes, and Miku whispers. Gotta be your favorite song ever :) For Rinne - watch the MV. The live version was for a tv show and got some bits cut out of it. So the MV is the full version. It was also shot on Super 8 and looks badass anyway.

The MV of this song was their 2nd MV. This is not one of their compositions. The songwriters the label had them work with were quite good. The music for RE is by Koji Goto and the lyrics are by Miwa Sasaki. This song and Freedom are two songs that are not theirs but they play a lot. When they were tight for time they went back to one of those early composers. "Smile" the B-side of the "Bubble" single has music by Kentaro Akutsu and lyrics by Miku. Kentaro Akutsu also did Thrill and several other early songs on the Maid in Japan and New Beginning albums.

@@paulwilson7989 In interviews, the band members have talked about how their "senpais" always considered their input when arranging the early songs, so even though they did not write them themselves, they did work on the arrangements and on structuring their individual parts. According to them it was a collaborative relationship and not just the record label telling them to "play this!" Of course, that lead to Miku contributing lyrics to "Freedom" and "YURAGU" and then their own full composition with "alone." The rest, as they say, is history.

Ahh, so you finally listened to good ol Real Existence. Despite all the bangers Band-Maid has released since this song was initially released (and there's a lot of em) this is still one of my favourite songs of theirs. And you reacted to my favorite performance of theirs, of any song. I dunno...this specific performance of Real Existence just...hits hard, for me. I listen to it all the time. Miku's Omajinai Time is a foundation of all Band-Maid shows. She does a little banter with the crowd and then with the band as they start coming back to the stage. Part of it is her doing what she used to do when she worked at her maid cafe.

At the time this was one of their hardest, heaviest songs (with a video anyway, and along with Rinne) so it was a good recommendation for metal guys. Pretty intense intro with Miku throwing her guitar around and Kanami headbanging. I think this live version is a huge improvement over the album version. They have the video of the album version on their channel as well if you wanted to compare and contrast for yourself; I think you said you did that with Freedom. This is from before they wrote their own stuff. It's on the same album as Thrill. I think Rinne is pronounced "RIN-uh", approximately. Just trying to help, not nitpicking.

The Zepp Tokyo DVD from 2018 is absolutely fantastic, if you can find a copy of it. It was only released as part of the limited edition of the "start over" single, but it's a complete 26-song set. The mix is near perfect and it includes every song from the World Domination album. AFAIK, only "Real Existence", "onset", and "Cross" are available on the official KZbin channel from this show. (For a long time, the entire thing was unofficially up on KZbin, but the record label finally started taking those videos down last year). As for "Rinne" (two syllables= Rin - neh), go with the official MV. There is a live version out there, but it is from a TV broadcast and they cut off the 2nd verse, which is inexcusable. It's also on the latest DVD, but that version will get blocked from YT, too.

Yep, that whole show is magnificent, and while yeah you can stream in on websites based in countries with no real copyright agreements, I would really like to own the official blu-ray that came out with this - wish that Pony Canyon would Pony up and buy the rights to distribute it. (for less than the 200 bucks that people are charging on E-Bay for questionable copies.)

The live version is shortened way up for TV and they totally screwed it up by making Band Maid do that. The MV will blow your socks off. Heavy, fast and Akane goes ham as you like to say. Saiki had gone into the crowd earlier, and lost her shoes lol. She was barefoot through this song and hence the free movement and interaction with Misa who’s normally the barefoot one. Love the way these girls interact on stage generally. Always so at home with each other. Also noticed a lot of “checking” with Kanami looking over to Misa for exact timing on some sections. Just a joy to watch as always. Oh, and nice reaction! 😋

Rinne is the opener on the Line Cube Shibuya World Domination Tour DVD (if you can get your hand on it) and is killer. You should probably just buy that concert - it's all good. If helpful, to pronounce Rinne: "ri" rhymes with "me" (though to be authentic, Japanese Rs lean toward Ds), hold the "n" sound slightly cause there's two of them, "ne" rhymes with "meh".

Well this is the one that got me so much into Band-Maid... I say this is "my" song, my wife says "no, it's mine", I said "I loved it first", she said "I don't care... this is my song and I take "Don't You Tell Me" as well"...ok, enough of domestic issues over Band-Maid. If I ever get a tattoo across my chest, it will say "REAL EXISTENCE" and a ace of spades turned upside down as a heart ♠️(but paying homage to Lemmy at the same time) The only thing I think it's a pity in this reaction is that Band-Maid should release an official double song video for "FREEDOM" + "REAL EXISTENCE" ... both together are epic, what happens before this song explains the barefoot Saiki. I don't know why Band-Maid doesn't release this concert in some special BluRay edition (and not only as a bonus in the "Start Over" box) because it's one of the best lives I ever saw or listened to (and my fav Live album of all time is "Made In Japan" by Deep Purple... but it could be dethroned if this concert had a official live album release... there, I said it... ) I know I can't find that "Bundle" anywhere but you really should watch the 2 songs together, you like build ups? One song after the other is one hell of a highlight in Zepp Tokyo 2018... I think I will throw you a link to it because any Band-Maid fan should watch it... that and the two acoustic songs of the same concert, of course... As for "Rinne", I think you should do a double. Meant to mention, on old B-M songs written when Miku honestly played a lot less, there are a few songs where Kanami isn't playing a lead part that Miku just doesn't play during parts of the songs.

If you noticed, Miku's tuning her low E string. Some of Band-Maid's songs are in standard tuning and some are in drop-d. I can't say for certain that that's what she's doing, because usually they have two guitars set up, one for each tuning. Maybe the guitar swap didn't happen between songs and she had to change tuning on the fly, or maybe as a lot of people have said she hit the intro so hard that she knocked it out of tune. I'm not a good enough guitar player to be able to tell the difference, but maybe you'd be able to figure it out. Edit: Always MV for Rinne (pronounced Rin-neh). The live version was cut short for TV and is missing the entire second verse.

Adding comment for the algorithm. I'd do the Rinne MV. There's a DVD coming out for the February online concert and Rinne was great to hear live in that concert, but for best audio at this time for the full uncut song stick with the MV.

You're wrong about going back into the synth. There is synth in the backing tracks, but if you focus on that then you're missing MISA playing vey high on the bass. Go back and watch the Official MV.

Actually, Miku had to finish the song , Saiki didn't make it back to the stage in time. It was the all female section of the crowd..lol. That whole Zepp Tokyo concert is awesome!!

Though they had help writing it, RE is my favorite BM song and the live version is the best. The half time riff under the solos in the bridge is just a nasty, crunchy bad ass piece of rock and roll and the entire song takes you on a runaway train. I love this damn song and this video. I’ve been begging you to do it and appreciate you! I PROMISE you will go back to this live video a hundred times. It’s that good.

Nice segway..... Great song, great reaction. As for Rinne... Do the MV. There is a live one floating about, but it was for a TV program... half the length and some dodgy overdubs...... I've been reading some other comments and if you're a Band Maid fan, the Reddit is great. There are some great guys there that provide accurate translations to all media concerning Band Maid.... seriously, just wonderful. ( that sounded kinda weird, lol ).

RINNE please watch the MV! It’s pretty well shot and there’s no real good official live performance you can find online wohotut probably getting in trouble. And tbh I think they performed it at the December concert you watched and it was one of their better performances of the song so you technically seen a great live :)

Miku frequently tunes her guitar on the fly. Right in the middle of songs occasionally. The funny part is she could tune the thing pretty much from the beginning, back when she couldn't play it. She's a bit of a basher playing it, so it is frequently getting knocked out of tune.

Rinne MV! Personally for Rinne (rin-neh) I would go with the MV. Its one of their rare songs I don't think sounds as good or mixes as well live. I haven't found a live version that packs the punch or has the mix i wish it did. The recorded version though, to me, sounds exactly as I wish it did live.
