It's through Zaiko. Anyway, it's 1500 yen + 165 yen fee = 1665 yen. = $15.50 It looks like it's scheduled as a one hour show- their normal lives basically always run two hours. No confirmation on the actual length... two would be nice, but can't expect more than one. It will be streamed, and then archived for about 3-4 more days after, so if you were to have any problems with the stream rate you'd still have a chance to watch it pre-buffered for a few more days after. Date: Thursday, July 23rd (Holiday) starting at 4:00 p.m. (JST) means midnight from the West Coast and a fairly brutal 3 AM start time for the East Coast... on a weekday. Of course, that's just par for the course really... there are about 8 shows for various idol groups through the end of the month that I want to watch that start from 1 to 4 AM, which would be 4-7 AM East Coast. Anyway, lots of their material is already available online for free. The difference being that this should be higher audio quality than a fan cam, but not have gone through extra processing. (They definitely sound great live, but they're also obviously going to clean it up a little if it's actually for a blu-ray release or whatever- you'll get the real deal as is for this). When it comes down to it, this is them trying to make the best of the situation. In most cases groups rent out an actual live house so it helps keep those afloat too. Stuff in Japan is finally open but in many cases they have to have only 60 people in a 400 capacity live house... stuff like that. Hard to justify. Hard to stay in business. While there is a unique experience to be had, it should more or less be considered as a donation to help keep them afloat.

Great reaction. I am glad you enjoy their music so much. These ladies are just phenomenal musicians. This goes doubly so for Miku. She had never played an instrument until Akane said she should learn to play rhythm guitar so the band would have a fuller rock sound and free up Kanami to play her heart out on stage. Miku, being the wise Pidgeon that she is, agreed and, with Kanami as her Sensei, has made great strides in her musical skills in 6 years. Miku, the founder of Band-Maid, sometimes gets overshadowed by the other ladies but never gets outshined. Listen to "Time" or "Rock in Me" to hear Miku sing (Giving Saiki a break). I love all these wonderful ladies: how humble they are and much their friendship shows in their Live performances. I love to see them smile. They always make me smile. Listen to"Onset" to hear a killer instrumental piece by them. God Bless.

Yep. This might be their best performance yet. Glad to see you thoroughly enjoy them. I have several more recommendations for you to check out. Band-Maid - CROSS (Apr. 13th, 2018) Band-Maid - Wonderland (Feb. 14th, 2020) Band-Maid - The Dragon Cries Band-Maiko - Gion-Cho Oh, and Band-Maid did a kickass instrumental live cover of the first verse Duality by Slipknot a couple months ago. (And I'm wondering if, had Knotfest Japan actually gone ahead, and COVID not become this global pandemic that it is, would they have brought Corey Taylor, Clown, and Jay Weinberg onstage and done a full cover....) And, a couple non-Band-Maid suggestions, check out either End of an Era or Thoughts of You by AVOID.

We are a family of musicians, my brother is a drum teacher with recognition from the conservatory of Milan, I play different instruments and make compositions and arrangements, and I can say that Band-Maid are truly incredible, in particular, when my brother discovered that Akane had studied drums for only 4 years before making the first record, he was shocked. And she told me, but where does this girl go? And he can evaluate a drummer, believe me. Akane is at absolute levels, not only for the technique but for the composition of the drumlines.

Glad to see more Band Maid reactions. One of the many things that is impressive about this band is the layers & complexities in their songs. I think that Blooming & Bubble are excellent examples of this. Also the way the way they will zig instead of zag (so to speak) in a song with unexpected changes in tempo and/or keys, and yet do it so seamlessly and effortlessly like it was just supposed to be so in a weirdly perfect kind of way. Example of this in this song when Kanami does her extra solo after Akane's drum solo then it fades right into Saiki's vocals. When most, I think, would expect Kanami to just keep going then maybe have a bit of a break/pause before the singing recommences. Speaking of that complexity just check out all the little mini runs MISA was doing in this song.

Anything that she’s behind the other girls on as far as technical proficiency, she more than makes up for in bringing the fun out of everyone. She’s an A+ rockstar. I’m always happy seeing her up there living the dream that she chased and earned. She’s a great backup singer, her rhythm guitar work puts down a nice GRIMEY foundation for Kanami to play over, and she has more fun on stage than anyone I’ve seen in a long time. Kobato 2024 for world president.
